“Okay, this probably isn’t going to be any good.

[narrator voice] And it wasn’t.

There was absolutely no growth between this game and the last one - the two could’ve been made within days of each other for all the artist’s skill. One absolute, always-positive thing about bad art is that it must exist to beget good art - you make a thousand shitty clay pots before you make a good one, etc. So one would think that one very mediocre VN would beget even a SLIGHTLY better VN, right?

You’d be wrong!

Even the sprites, updated though they are and they have TWO facial expressions now, are more lackluster - they feel more soulless this time around.

I am rewarding one full point though because there’s a part where this guy you used to date and are now kind of awkward with goes ‘I wrote a poem do you guys want to hear it’ and you can say ‘no’ and he gets all upset and I laughed hard as hell.

Next up: Oh, I’ve been looking forward to this!

See you soon!

Trent

I actually played the first one back in May, but this one looked like more of a slog to get the achievements, so I don’t know when I’ll get to it– especially since you’re saying it’s no better than #1. The biggest reason to play it is to get the cards (although ofc I could always just farm them).

TRENT I’ve missed you! Been thinkin about you, pal. I was just musing today, ‘you know, haven’t heard from Trent lately’.

Actually, this one is about the same length as the first one, and just as easy to skip. There’s no skip settings, so skipping automatically skips EVERYTHING. I ended up… letting it happen the second two routes.

IF you don’t mind an angel losing its wings… you can follow my descent into Bad VN Reader Hell and do the same!

Yeah, I haven’t been reading/commenting a lot lately. But I still try to check every few days and read up on some of my favorite BLAEO folks.

Yeah, looking at the Last Days of Spring 2 Guide, it doesn’t look so bad. Maybe I’ll try it out and skip as necessary. ;-)

Rip you and kudos for finishing it. Hot damn.

Hopefully your next one meets expectations - you deserve a good game with all the crap you’ve had to beat lately xD

tsupertsundere

Aw, Riley, thank you! I hope so, too. I mean, it’s not wildly bad, just… mediocre-bad.

I wouldn’t feel too bad for me - once I get my new laptop set up I’m amped to play a lot of good games on gorgeous settings… though there’ll be a chunk of time it’ll be the World’s Fastest VN Machine, too!

RileyHisbert

I feel that! I just got some of the parts in for my new PC, and I can’t wait to play games with like, legit graphics xP

I’ve been interested in checking out Sea Bed for a while so i’m interested to see your review

tsupertsundere

Absolutely!

Early results say the setup seems interesting, though the sprite quality is far rougher than I was expecting. It’s a kinetic novel-type set up like Higurashi and Planetarian, though, so the sprites aren’t super emphasized.
