NO fight this time in just his Bat Panties. 0/10

If I HAD to overlook this utterly disastrous lack of empowerment, though (he’s only shirtless TWICE) - I’d say that this season is absolutely gripping. Telltale Batman continues to take the standard Batman building blocks and put them together in new, fresh, interesting ways. I was continually thrilled and excited with the twists the story takes, and the tale it carves out is well-reasoned and well-supported, not just different to do something different.

The through line for this season is paying off the setup from the first - seeing John Doe become the Joker (or not) based on your influence. The way they do this is fascinating, and one of my favorite parts of the episode. They take the nearly three-decade-old Joker/Harley Quinn relationship and turn it on its head in the best way. You see, John Doe is fresh out of Arkham and a wannabe villain - he wants to gain more prestige and standing within the Pact, a coalition of five big-name villains. They are ostensibly lead by Harley Quinn.

For the first four episodes, Harley Quinn is the big-time supervillain whom John Doe is infatuated with (though his heart is torn between her and Bruce). He kisses up to her, begs Bruce to help him look cool in front of her, and fawns over her. She holds all the power and all of the danger, a huge turnaround from the ditz the Joker smacks around and manipulates. That was great!

The fight scenes are wonderfully choreographed, Amanda Waller’s presence as the Head Bitch in Charge is a really interesting foil not just for Jim Gordon but for Batman himself. You can maintain the relationship between Bruce and Selena if you built one up in the first season. Alfred made me cry every time.

Telltale has had some rough times lately, but I really believe that their team on Batman is doing a spectacular job, on both seasons. It’s continually offered interesting story and gameplay, and has to be one of the stronger Telltale games to date. I’m glad that they’re returning to an even keel, and I’m excited to see what comes next.

Next up: Okay, REALLY, I’ll start -

See you soon!

Yes, I think you’ll really enjoy it! It’s a big thrill ride, and it gets darker (but never stupid dark) this time around.

Are you talking about the Walking Dead season 3? … yeah… uh… marshal your expectations for that one. Go into it with a low bar. This one, though? You’re gonna have a fun time c:

Happy gaming, Nin c: I needed to see your positivity today, thank you <3

Oh I sure enjoy it! I loved that Bruce/Batman and the moment we met Joker last time was just awesome! :)

Yep, I am. And yeah, I read so mixed things by now about TWD3, I’m already expecting everything from a total screw up to a brilliant game. So I will get something out of it, I’m pretty sure :D

Oh! I could send you loads of sunshine and brighten your day up a bit! puts some sun in a box and sends it off
Everything alright, Tsutsu? :*

The whole episode is FILLED with moments like that. I’m usually not a Joker fan, but this series made me empathize with the guy a lot. Aw man now I can’t wait to see your reactions!

Oh yeah, at the very least, it’s good to see the next entry in Clementine’s story.

Ahhh, yaay! c: c: c: nothing awful bad, just a very long and stressful week behind me and another long and stressful week ahead
