☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

This is an aight relaxation/simple game. When I first joined SG about a year and a half ago, I saw Catch a Falling star all over the goddamn place, so I have a fondness for this little game. It’s nice for what it is, though what it is isn’t crazy much. Was enough to keep my hands busy, though not as meditative as I would have liked. I don’t care to grind for further achievements, so stopping at 80% is fine for now.

The basket I used the whole time was the jam jar one, which I grew very attached to.

Next up: the last season of the Walking Dead game was just released, and my girlfriend and I are going to play each episode as we get our grubby little hands on it. While I won’t be writing a review until the very end, I CAN say that this first episode is incredibly strong, fun, thrilling, scary, and subverted my expectations at literally every turn. Oh, and it’s gorgeous. Hasn’t been this good since the first season. Pick it up!
Meanwhile… I asked my girlfriend what game I should play next, and she said, “a game you really want to play.” So -

See you soon!

Yeah I think some games make the mistake of trying to force more game time out of their players through grindy achievements, and the upshot is that if you push through and get all the achievements your last impression of the game is ‘well that was a grind’, rather than just enjoying it as a simple time waster.

Oh 400% absolutely. I have WAY too many games where that was my final impression. In fact, your word of caution about this in my last review also helped me to be like ‘yeah, let’s set this aside when I’m done playing’.

Formidolosus

I should actually adopt that attitude for a lot of the games I have sitting installed on my computer for ‘one day when I feel like grinding’, which is almost the same unit of time as ‘never’

I very much agree with all that re: grinding. ^

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on she remembered caterpillars, hope it lives up to your excitement. :) Definitely one that’s been on my radar a while now.
