Another big thank you to BLAEO user MouseWithBeer for being a lovely secret santa and getting me this visual novel - one of the few visual novels I didn’t idle at all! Mostly because when I say this game is short, I mean this game is short. (that’s why I’m up here doing another three reviews in one day thing)

Blind Men is very much an ‘almost’ game. It was almost enough to make it onto my VN masterpost, it was almost a really satisfying experience, I was almost really enjoying myself… but it just was too short and not enough to really get up off the ground.

The two male romance options are basically the two guys from the Man from U.N.C.L.E. - a flirty American and stoic Russian agent - and you go up against them as a fledgling supervillain. It’s very light and goofy and not serious and realistic at all, and the ‘romance’ is really… not shallow, but very short and brief. The equivalent of a first date, if you will. Fine, but I definitely was hoping for more. (And you don’t even get to KISS the Russian!) The art is in a style I particularly like, too, which is nice.

I usually say that if the biggest criticism of something is that I want more from it, it’s a good problem to have… but in this case, it’s a pretty big problem. Even so, I liked my time with it, as brief as it was. (It could also have been edited a bit more to tighten the language up. The strange word ‘dissimulate’ was used WAY too often and stood out like a sore thumb)

Next up: This yuri visual novel looks absolutely stunning, and I was given this by my wonderful girlfriend.

See you soon!

It looks AMAZING. And there’s a new chapter set to come out sometime soon? Is the game incomplete or is it more like DLC?
