Monthly Update #11: March
The transition to 'Working from Home' month (& the month I activated EVERYTHING...Kind of.).
With recent events, work was pretty much all 'no, we won't close', then suddenly we had an announcement on Thursday 19th that we would all be working from home from the Monday. So yeah, I've now transitioned to Working from home.
I'm finding a lot of my time this month has been preparing to work from home - I've set up another swivel mount for my work laptop, to make it easier to set up/hide away when being 'on the clock'. (Although this screen has pretty much become the Buffy streaming screen, when not used for Zoom meetings).
Game-wise.... Like the last couple of months. Stardew Valley and Beat Saber. One day soon I'll 100% Stardew and move on to another game. Really. It's going to happen!
Stats
I saw that there is actually a generator for this.. I guess I'll start using it.Completed
The cute graphics lured me in, the achievements kept me going.
Voodoo Garden is a clicker. Has some interesting things, such as fattening up and then sacrificing your animals so that they become spirits to collect things for you.
I've realised that I'm not a fan of clickers, so thank you Voodoo Garden for helping me learn that.
That stupid skull achievement. I pretty much had the game open all day while working from home today (31st March) to try get that skull 10 times hah.
So uhhh… if you like clickers.. or want a game to half afk while working from home…recommended? If not, or you're not sure if you like clickers… stay away.
Fun for a few minutes but… not worth playing. Essentially a pretty map where you can fly around as a bird. That's about it!
Beaten
No actual beaten games this month - either full completions or still working towards completion.
Played
10 achievements left!!
I actually only just realised one of the achievements is beating the minigame in the saloon without dying. RIP my intended 100% for this game lol
But yeah, friend and I are still playing this a little bit ;)
So uhh still playing this game every couple of days on my Oculus Quest (Yes I did buy 2 copies >.> I've found the Quest version is much easier to setup and add modded songs funnily enough). I'm really liking some Rammstein maps people have made and have now been able to finish some Expert+ levels. Still can't complete the Camellia songs on Expert though :0
There is a noticeable increase in difficulty in the developer added Camellia maps compared to the base game songs, which is pretty cool!
With the cancellation of Hockey for a couple of months due to COVID, this may be my only fitness for awhile lol

So uhhhhhh.... +58?
You did good with 5 completions this month! But then again, you activated a lot of games, so… *shrugs.
From your newly-activated games I recommend: Hollow Knight and Degrees of Separation, even though I haven’t beaten them yet. I’ll get around to doing that, hopefully this summer with HK. I’m not sure about DoG, since I’m playing it with my boyfriend.
Also I’m kind of curious about Planet Coaster but I don’t think I’ll look into it anytime soon since I’m not that interested.
And your update makes me want to go back to playing Stardew Valley. It’s been so long!
Yay 5 completions and.. 58 activations. That balance hahaha!
Thanks for the recommendations! We tend to play similar games so I’ll definitely have to bump them up my list. A lot of bumping up.
I really liked Zoo Tycoon when I was young, so I’m hoping I enjoy Planet Coaster. It seems like something I’d play :)
Ahh you really should!! Although I think it was you I saw who bought Witcher 3 on my steam activity page… Thats a lot of hours right there so you may be distracted :p
I’m really curious already about your thoughts on Hollow Knight!
Yeah, it was me! I’ll happily play Witcher 3 after I’m done with AC Odyssey. Since I rarely play this kind of game, I’m not feeling bad about sinking all of my hours to them. The opposite–I’m very happy about it haha.
Those are a lot of additions and some great games in there.
Yes, working from home has its own set of challenges. To be honest, I’ll be glad when I can work from my office again, though working from home has its upsides (no commuting, less unnecessary disturbances etc)
Definitely a lot haha.
Hmm I’m really enjoying the working from home life so far. I save around 2-3 hours a day commuting. I’m finding I’m getting a lot more done from home- less people dropping by for chats/help haha. I think another couple of weeks though and I’ll be ready to go back to the office to socialise!
Absolutely understandable, with 2-3 hours commute I would prefer working from home as well. I have much less. Not having anyone bother me when I’m working is definitely something I enjoy as well. I’m already thinking about how I can transfer some of this into my normal office life.
I don’t know whether to be jealous of you bunch working from home or be glad I at least GET to still work instead of being confined to my home.
Psst, psst - new Humble Choice soon for even more keys. :D
Be jealous of us WFH and let us be jealous of you being able to actually leave home hahaha.
Shhhhhh I know…. I’ve put in my prediction for the HumbleBundle Reddit’s prediction league already haha.
At least I’ll always have something to play? ;)
