I was challenged to play this game. A little jRPG which completely smashes the forth wall. You play as RPG players, who are playing a DND style game but then it's start to leaking to the real world... You are jumping between locations and completing quests, which normally reduces to "smash X number of enemy type Y" "Survive a wave of fights" or "Go there". I like the system of challenging the player - you are choosing which enemy type you are fighting and in what amount. So if you need to kill 7 rats you can fight them one after another, or risk and decide to fight all of them at once. Also - A LOT of cultural references. Ninja turtles in sewers, gremlins who cannot touch water... this kind of stuff. All in all a nice game, but at one moment you just need to stop and grind to be able to buy some equipment and go further in story. I'm not a big fan of grinding in jRPG's, It would definietely be more interesting if it had more sidequests (I beat every sidequest accept one on 2/3 of main story)

Sonic Adventure DX

Yea... I heard that 3D Sonic games aren't very good, and this one is not... The controls are clunky, the camera is crazy, the speed of Sonic is more an obstacle than awesome feeling, I had a couple of bugs. It also didn't age well - not only in graphic but also in sound and level design (where should I go now...). They tried to make an interesting game by mixing ideas and changing gameplay. I can appreciate this, but nothing feels polished. Technically to finish the game you should play it with every character, but I finished it with Sonic and definetely have enough.

I was challenged to play it. Basically - a free Stanley Parable type of game. It's a walking sim, it's funny, it has original premise which I won't spoil, it's really short and it's free. What not to like about it?

Ive been watching the completionist play through the sonic games and from what ive seen and heard you are right about 3d sonics being lame. However ive heard great things about the sonic adventure games and how they are the best 3D sonic games. You just really wanted to avoid big the cat

I have Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic generations. We wil see…

You know what the sad part about 3D sonic games is? You just played the “good” one! This is the one people actually like

Well, Sonic generations is not terrible, it’s actually quite good, but that’s probably because they understood that all the in-between parts, where you’re not going fast down a slope or on rails are bad in 3D sonic games.

And yeah, Knights of Pen & paper was not all that great either. Cute idea, but too much pointless grind. It’s quite obvious that it was originally a F2P game for smartphones..

Glad you liked Dr. Langeskov! It’s really an fun little game, plus it’s free. I’d recommend it to anyone that I come across. :3
And yeah, I do agree that Knights of Pen and Paper had a bit too much grind, especially for the gold. I would’ve liked if it had more side quests or if the side quests gave you more gold so there’s less grind, but alas.

To few high level side quests in Knights of Pen and Paper. Thats the main problem. I’m not going to buy a second game, but I’ll propably jump into giveaways with it.
