Forth week of May

Lots of progress has been made this week and even if most of the games were really short I am still supper happy with it. I have also hit 25% completed games :D which might not sound a lot to some people but when you got over 2k games it takes some effort to achieve ;)

Completed SG win

VITATIO 2
Playtime: 1.7 hours
Achievements: 68 of 68 (100%)
Review: A move your mouse very precisely through a path game. I didn't have the patience for it (plus the hitboxes seemed off to me) so I explointed the shit out of this game. Not my fault they made it so easy to do so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Runs 100% fine with Proton.

Other completed games

Locked-in syndrome

Review: Yet another shitty Russian horror game with shitty English pukes a little. Oh and it is not even scary. Runs fine with Proton.
Mahjong Solitaire
Playtime: 1.3 hours
Achievements: 10 of 10 (100%)
Review: It is a Mahjong game, it is OK. It could use more than 10 different pattern placements and that it wouldn't re-enable the music every time you start the game or switch to the level/main menu. But other than that is your good old mahjong game that runs without issues with proton. If you bothered to read this review, like mahjong games and would like a key for it let me know and I will see what I can do.
Galactic Hitman
Playtime: 1.6 hours

Review: This won't come as a surprise to anyone that knows anything about Digital Homicide but this is probably the single worst shooter game I have ever played and I have played some absolute garbage. Works fine with Proton.

Review: Speaking about worst things: this platformer. The movement left and right of the screen (background and platforms) almost gives me motion sickness and the controls, which are basically the most important thing with platformers, are awful so it gets a bit fat no from me. Works fine with Proton.
Over The Void

Review: When the game start with a fucking AZERTY keyboard layout you are at a good start (has rebindable keys but it sure doesn't help against the french arrogance stereotype*), when you manage to get stuck between objects twice in less than 5 minutes you know how to say screw this game. The dev also promised a Linux port in 2015 and that never happened. Works fine with Proton at least.
Zombie Solitaire 2 Chapter 1
Playtime: 18 hours
Achievements: 15 of 15 (100%)
Review: It is an OK solitaire game with a total of 100 levels although some of those are hidden object and match 3 ones. The hidden object ones are easy and some of the match 3 ones are infuriating to get 3 stars on. Thankfully that is only a few levels. Works perfectly with Proton.
Winged Knights: Penetration

Review: Another Digital Homicide game and unsurprisingly this one is absolute garbage as well. I wont waste any more words on it other to say that it runs fine with Proton, but you shouldn't play it anyways.
Wild Island Quest
Playtime: 2 hours
Achievements: 10 of 10 (100%)
Review: A weird mix of VN and choose your own adventure game with shitty graphics. Works fine on Linux.
Laraan
Playtime: 2.5 hours

Review: NOPE just for the fact that the cursor doesn't get locked to the game window making almost impossible to play on a multiple monitor setup (do people actually do development on one screen? I have 3 at home and work and I constantly bitch about not having enough space to work with). The camera movement is all over the place which gave me motion sickness so screw this game in particular. Runs fine on Linux at least.
Upside Down
Playtime: 4.5 hours
Achievements: 78 of 78 (100%)
Review: This game surprised me. I thought it was going to be bad but it is actually a pretty fun platformer. There were a few frustrating levels here and there but the majority of the 40 levels were just fine. Works fine with Linux.
Rituals
Playtime: 51 minutes
Achievements: 7 of 7 (100%)
Review:A short and kinda weird not really walking simulator but also not really puzzle game. It is not too bad but the problem with it is that the movement system is really weird (you move around and look around with the mouse). It is really shot and I beat it twice to get all the achievements. Except for 2 random crashes when starting it up it worked fine on Linux.

* Please don’t lynch me, I got nothing against French people. I am just putting out an observation because WASD is the standard for controls and bringing in a layout that the minority of people use as default is a fucking stupid decision and it just makes me think you are arrogant and the dev is indeed French. I would give them props for making it rebindable at least, but it is an Unity game so they don’t even get that + they are being all smug about it in the tutorial so they can go extra fuck themselves…

I love that the covers for Digital Homicide games vary in quality, even though all of them could have been stolen. it’s like some days they almost cared enough to look through google for more than 10 min. seriously that cover for galactic hitman is badass

MouseWithBeer

I would not be surprised one little bit if they are stolen. For Winged Knights: Penetration the guys are kinda how they look in game but the one from Galactic Hitman has nothing like that in-game :D

Arbiter Libera

I got nothing against French people.

I’ll buy it. This time.

MouseWithBeer

I swear I don’t! Just that one particular developer :D

UlverHausu

I have nothing agaisnt baguettes but…

Hello there person who has deleted their comment :(

Oh shiness has that AZERTY keyboard layout and its also not rebindable. I don’t remember finding to much trouble with it but then I was dealing with the fact the game was a crashy mess. However while I don’t remember much trouble everyone else has sure spoken up about the fact you should not buy that game since its horrible as a pc game and that you should have it rebindable if you are releasing it on pc or you know if you can’t remind it shouldn’t be the damn azerty layout. With the devs bankrupt they sure aren’t going to help anyone out anymore. They also seemed to have a lot of trouble with kickstarter people not doing everything they said with the languages and stuff like that and some people had keys revoked or just not given

MouseWithBeer

With the devs bankrupt

Good, that is what they deserve for such stupid ideas/awful execution.
