March 2020 Progress Report

I was prepared enough this month to post on the first day of the month - Might be a first for me!

Stats

Most of my new games came from Humble Choice, but not much else. Also, I recently removed a number of F2P games I haven’t played from my Steam library and then BLAEO game list. There were also a few lesser known games removed from Steam that I haven’t played and removed from my BLAEO list too. That probably messed with my never played and unfinished counts.

842 games (+14 games)
74% / 626 never played (+0%, +8 games)
9% / 75 unfinished (+0%, +2 games)
12% / 101 beaten (+0%, +3 games)
1% / 11 completed
4% / 29 won’t play

On-Going Games

    Divinity: Original Sin 2

    Divinity: Original Sin 2

    21 hours playtime

Escaped Fort Joy, and now doing quests just outside of it. Battles are definitely stretching my character's abilities.

Beaten

    Divekick

    Divekick

    7 hours playtime

Easy to play but difficult to master fighting game. There are two special moves aside from diving & kicking, plus power charging. A different beginning & ending for every character is the primary replay value, but not something I wanted to do for more than one character.

    Event[0]

    Event[0]

    8 hours playtime

Text driven exploration game where all major actions are done with terminals where you chat with an AI. Its a unique mechanic, but only about 3 hours for my playthrough.

    The Sexy Brutale

    The Sexy Brutale

    12 hours playtime

A bizarre unique isometric murder mystery with time manipulation. In the end after about 6 hours of gameplay where I saved all characters from death and yielded most cards & invitation collectibles. Not for the faint of heart as the game has demonic aspects & nihilism concluding with some moral lessons, though not enough that merits playing the game for the lessons alone.

Started

    Tomb Raider

    Tomb Raider

    15 hours playtime

First Tomb Raider game I’ve ever played, and am enjoying the third person adventuring. I think I’m half to two thirds of the way through the story, as I’ve gotten to a point where I just unlocked arrow slinging with fire. I’ve enjoyed some of the collection type challenges, though I’m definitely not going for 100%.

    Streets of Rogue

    Streets of Rogue

    8 hours playtime

Barely started this 8 bit roguelite but have been enjoying it so far despite it being quite tough. Though it was tough to get out of the slums, I appreciate the variety of missions & goals based on the selected character, and that makes character unlocks more meaningful.

Stuck or Paused

    Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!

    Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!

    14 hours playtime

Cute Potatoes, but with repetitive gameplay: Get/buy weapon supplies, assign people to weapons, modify/boost a weapon’s stats, sell the weapons, give an employee a vacation. So I’m pausing it.

    SpaceChem

    SpaceChem

    8 hours playtime

My first Zachtronics game is too mind bending of a puzzle game for me right now. I got through the first of ~10 planets but I found myself looking up solutions more often than I’d like. There are a couple other games of his that I have and think I would like more.
