Aquilla

Finished in December (1-4)

Work, work, work. I like my job, but there are times when I just don’t have time for anything. So I didnt finish any games in November. But now I can play a bit again, so I finished 4 games. Including one completely massive and completely awesome.

Nice little trivia game, in which you have to answer questions correctly to fulfill characters’ wishes. And if you fail - they will also fail in amusing way. Cute concept, I finished all of the stories, I just wish after finishing the game I could replay some parts instead of playing the whole thing again.

It’s a Pokemon clone and it is proud of this fact. If you like Pokemon, you should like this. A few problems I had - the main story was just stupid. Especially the beginning - it reminded me of bad RPG session - you must go and defeat bad guy because REASONS. I also had a few problems with interface (checking which Poke… i mean Nexomons you are missing is not very user friendly) and the game is incredibly easy (I had the same problem with Digimons, so maybe it’s a general problem with this genre). But all in all - it was a nice time killer.

Hades… yea, it’s Hades. You heard about it. It’s awesome. The story, the characters the mechanics, the characters, the graphics, the characters…. Supergiants games are all very good and this one is just brilliant. I beat the whole main story, but I have a feeling I will go back to it from time to time - there are some random events I haven’t seen yet.

What a nice little adventure game. I will call it “easy Myst” - the riddles and feeling of the story are very “Mysty”, but it’s not very difficult. The plot is kinda Lovecraftian, but it’s not scary - more like eerie from time to time - which I admire- I don’t like jumpscares. It also has very pretty art style, the plot is revealing in nice pace - it’s just a very well made little adventure game.

Just yesterday I watched a streamer present their top games of 2020 and Call of the Sea was one of them. Never heard of the game before, but it looks really decent. Funny coincidence that I see a post about it right the day after :D
Hope work leaves you with enough time to play games in 2021! Even a job you like can suck when you have no time to unwind…

Thanks for the review. I’ve added Call of the Sea to my wishlist.
