Third week of January

Many games have been completed this week. Most of them just were just achievement spammy trivia games (I will just add them as a list since they would take way too much space for no good reason otherwise), but I also finally 100%ed CSD2 which I am very proud of ^^

Also big thank you to Reforced for all the VNs I played this week <3

Completed SG wins

Highschool Possession
Playtime: 1.8 hours
Achievements: 2 of 2 (100%)
Review: Actually a quite nice and decent VN. There is actually some good story to it and not just boobs everywhere.
Divine Slice of Life
Playtime: 3.6 hours
Achievements: 1 of 1 (100%)
Review: I can say the same as I said about Highschool Possession here (I did like this one a tad bit better). Also this one has voice acting. While it is not some amazing voice acting, it did bring a bit of fresh air into the bunch of VN I have been playing reading lately.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!
Playtime: 75.8 hours
Achievements: 45 of 45 (100%)
Review: I have been waiting to play this game since it was first announced in 2016 and I absolutely love this game. It does get a bit repetitive after a while and it is not bug free (I had a sound setting issue that was fixed now and it runs at different speeds on different PCs), but it is still a good way to spend the time every once in a while. There is also an absurd amount of different food and beverages. I could write a lot more about it but I ran out of space in the box :P

Over The Hills And Far Away
Playtime: 2.9 hours
Achievements: 8 of 8 (100%)
Review: What a sad VN :( but also so great at the same time and definitely one of my favorite ones I have read so far. It pulls you in with an amazing atmosphere kinda spoilery: (stupid markdown doesn't want to work) and then breaks your heart in the end :( I didn't want it to end like that :'( I wanted it to be longer and with a happy ending.

After reading this I finally added cook, serve, delicious 2 to my wishlist. I had ignored it when I 1st started seeing it because I never played the 1st one. It was boring, but after expert mode I enjoyed it but I still thought getting 2 was a push. However I’ve heard how much better it is and looking now it does look better. So I think its finally time I actually get it one day

MouseWithBeer

I don’t know, I would say that if you didn’t 90% enjoy the first one getting the second one might be a bit of a waste, unless you win it of SG or find it cheap somewhere :/ and I don’t want to be the reason why someone would spend their money on something they ended up not linking just because I did D:

Cece09

As I said I did enjoy it alot, it was back when I first played it, it was a grind because normal mode is boring and seeing this didn’t at all influence anything. I’ve considered it for a while but just never bothered to actually go search it up to put it on so I kinda just acted like it weren’t a thing.

Just looked at info 200 items? The devs are insane
Looked at the achievements too and actually makes me want it more

Whelp I brought it! Rush mode time! Even got it under/around its historical low because 55% with 80p in wallet equals past 60% discount and the lowest is 61

MouseWithBeer

Sorry, i wasnt 100% sure what you were trying to say. Me no speak englando gud :D if you did enjoy it definitively go for it!

Last time I checked it was 1 dev and 1 (or maybe 2) artist, so very very insane :)

Edit: have fun! Hope you will have an enjoyable time with it ^^

Cece09

Well I cant wait to play it but I need to finish my other games 1st :( booooo

MouseWithBeer

Well that should give you some motivation to finish them :D

Trilled Meow

I’ve been thinking of getting Over the Hills and Far Away. It’s one of the cheaper but solid-looking games on my wishlist. I’m a sucker for historic settings, too, especially a seldom-used time period like this. I think you’ve sold me on it next time it goes on sale by saying it’s one of your favorites so far.

MouseWithBeer

Definitely worth picking it up on sale in my opinion (otherwise it is a bit short for the price). Also not only one of my favorites but also one of the favorites from the person who gifted it to me :) I just hope it wont disappoint you :/

I’m not much of a VN person, but I read Over The Hills And Far Away a while ago and thought it was pretty good. A bit predictable, but still cute. I was looking for a VN that wasn’t anime at all, and this fit the bill.
