That’s quite the progress, a lot of great atmospheric games!
Did you enjoy STASIS? Got that one for free ages ago, have heard a bunch of mixed things. Meant to play it last Halloween.

Tempête Joachim

I found it a bit disappointing, it seemed interesting at first but it’s nothing very original and the protagonist isn’t very charismatic so I lost interest over the course of the game. It’s not awful but there are probably other games worthier of your time.

skanda

Woah! You’re making the rest of us look really bad. :) Congrats on the progress!

Tempête Joachim

Yeah it was a pretty good month, though besides Okami most are quite short

EvilBlackSheep

Wow that’s a strong progress! What did you think about Hellblade and The last door? (Also, what is that cat president game? sounds like a plot for felines to overtake the world)

Tempête Joachim

Hellblade is really interesting, I didn’t enjoy the gameplay so much but it’s worth playing for the story.
I was disappointed in The Last Door, the whole first season seemed like it’s just a set-up for season 2 but didn’t really manage to make me feel compelled to play the sequel.
I just bought Cat President for the cats, it’s ok but nothing really special.

EvilBlackSheep

I’m glad to read your opinion on Hellblade, I just played it this past month too and had the same feeling. I didn’t like the combat gameplay but I felt like the atmosphere and the story itself was really worth my time.

Sorry to read you were disappointed in the Last Door. I liked the atmosphere and the whole story but I did play it with the mindset that there was part two sitting in my backlog too (which I didn’t get around to play yet though, even if I really wanted to know what was gonna happen after i finished the first game).

Tempête Joachim

In Hellblade I thought the combat system was ok, but towards the end of the game the fights are too frequent and too long, it felt unnecessary and breaks the pacing of the story. I didn’t really like the rune puzzles, and since most puzzles in the game are like that, too bad if you don’t like it.
But yes, it’s a great game that uses Nordic mythology to tell a story about dealing with your inner demons and accepting loss.
I was really impressed with their use of motion capture too, it did an excellent job of emphasising the protagonist’s struggles.

I might still play the second part of The Last Door eventually, it just didn’t really made me feel excited to find out the rest of the story

EvilBlackSheep

I liked the runes stones collectible thing also, where they were narrating part of nordic tales every time you found one.

Mskotor

I’m so used that bars on BLAEO are clickable, and contain box with review, I was surprised those don’t unfold when I click them :P

But nice progress, I hope Hellblade will have -75% on Winter sale.

Tempête Joachim

I thought I might write a bit about the games but I made this post in a rush. I’m really not good at writing reviews anyway, so it might stick to this for the following months as well.
