What a crazy month it was! Since many places are still shut and I had to work remotely, I spent a lot of time at home and ... played.

Story Rich Steam Beaten

What a great conclusion! I love everything about this game but what shine the most are the phenomenal story and the great NPCs. The tension build-up is excellent and I'm amazed at how this game made me feel truly happy, sad or angry. Full review

Farming Simulation 3DS Beaten

A cute and simple game to play. The graphics are very nice despite framerate drops in certain areas. There is a lot to do and customize but things tend to be very slow and a tad repetitive. The social components are okay but I expected a little more variety.

Immersive Sim Steam Beaten

An excellent game! The small screen size and the limitations of the simulation don't stand in the way of a very pleasant experience. However, some conversations and story decisions are quite awkward. Full review

Adventure Origin - EA Play Completed

A simple and beautiful game. I adore the art style and how water is manipulated. It may seem short but was the perfect length for a game like this. The platforming provides enough challenge to make your feel how the protagonist struggles.

Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises

Hidden Object Steam Beaten

I enjoyed this HOG for the most part as the story is above average and some production elements, like the splitscreen transitions, are surprisingly nice. However, a stupid sliding puzzle which took me over an hour to solve and stalled the game.

The Myth Seekers: The Legacy of Vulcan

Hidden Object Steam Beaten

The beginning was promising but things quickly became ridiculous, just like most HOGs. The mini games are easy and the hidden objects scenes require too many actions to uncover the actual objects.

3D Platformer Steam Beaten

I really tried to like this game but the controls are terrible. It's cute and some of the puzzles are interesting but movement is very imprecise! Take my word and ignore this one. There are much better 3D platformers to play.

I see I’m not the only one who played a lot this month because we were confined home again. Congrats on the progress. Where are you buying your second hand games btw? Le bon coin seems full of rip offs (even tho it’s how I found my switch back in october, it seems a whole field of bad stuff for a needle of actual good deal in the middle).

I hope you enjoy The minish cap, it’s one of my favourite Zelda games. I had both oracle of ages and seasons back then too but they didn’t leave much of an imprint in my memory. Actually the other day when I was sorting my retro stuff I was surprised to find the cartridges.

I didn’t know Sea of Solitude was so short, I should play it soon in case they remove it from the pass at some point.

I get them all from Leboncoin either meeting the seller or having stuff shipped home. I’ve bought over 50 3DS games and about 10 Switch games that way. I’ve never been ripped off but you just have to be very careful as there are indeed many dodgy sellers. Finding great deals can be very addictive …

EvilBlackSheep

I feel like I’m gonna need to go hunt on there again, but as you said, it gets very addictive very fast. I should make a list first.

puzzles were becoming so convoluted and unintuitive that I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore.

Where did you give up, specifically? Which dungeon?

I’ll just move on to The Minish Cap

Oracle of Seasons is supposed to be more action-focused than Ages, so you might wanna try that one if you get the chance.

I gave up at the beginning of the 6th dungeon, after the dancing mini-game. There were so many steps like “give X to so-and-so to get Y that you can give to ….” to properly enter the dungeon that I just couldn’t be bothered, even after looking up solutions in a guide. And to top it off, if you jump off a cliff you’re not meant to, it takes a good 20 minutes to get back. The most frustrating thing is that I had managed to figure out everything by myself up to there! Oh, well…
Maybe I’ll try Oracles of Seasons someday but I’ve read the combat is super hard. Anyway, I’ve already started The Minish Cap and I love it so far.
