Report 62: Long time no see

    Fallout 4

    Fallout 4

    Phew. That took a while.
I’ve had my concerns with this game for a pretty long time, but now when I’m finally done with it - it was pretty good, to be honest.
This game strays even further from RPG than the third one. It’s much more action-packed, and to be fair, I think shooting things in it is as good as it gets in Fallout franchise. Weapon customization sure helps a lot.
The dialogues suffered the most and became a meme at this point. I miss the old ones too, but honestly, Mass Effect got away with the same thing and no one cared that much(well, technically, it’s not really the same thing since ME was like that from the start of the series, but still).
The main plot was just as bland as the third one, no surprises here, it’s not the strongest Bethesda point either way. I found the Institute faction the most interesting, obviously.
Settlements management was… weird at first, but then I kinda got into it when I realised how profitable it can be with ammo crafting and all the other stuff.
Nuka-world was the most interesting DLC. Far Harbor was fine too, but if you think about it, it’s just three factions conflict without any interesting plot developments besides few twists here and there that don’t add much.
Nick Valentine was my favorite companion, Deacon/Hancock being second favorites and Cait being the third. I don’t suppose it’s a hot take of an opinion.
Overall, while being disappointingly simplified in many ways, the game had plenty of quests with different scenarios that really helped me feel like I’m actually doing something with the world. It’s buggy and big, just like the rest of modern Bethesda open-world titles. Wasn’t nearly as bad as some people told me. Still very fun to explore.

    Slime Rancher

The title says it all. You’re collecting slimes on your ranch, feed them stuff and collect plorts to sell.
I really liked exploring. Maybe a bit better than actually doing ranch stuff. Perhaps it’s the reason I didn’t want to bother grinding for other achievements. But maybe one day, who knows.
Overall, it’s cutesy and pretty fun to play.

    Save Room - Organization Puzzle

    Save Room - Organization Puzzle

This is a very fun and short puzzle game that’s dedicated to Resident Evil-like inventory management. You are supposed to fit every item you’re given into grid-based inventory. You can combine and use them if necessary.
It’s easy to get through. I liked it a lot.

    The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

This is a new, expanded version of The Stanley Parable. It’s still hilarious and meta. Can’t really explain much about it due to its nature, as expected.

Also got the newly added achiements for Rusty Lake Hotel.
Also completed all endings of Black Souls 2. Phenomenal.
Also completed the added achievements for Iron Lung. Man this game [is] pretty good.
