First week of July

Not too much going on this week since I did spend most of the week playing Pixel Puzzles Ultimate since there is a triple gold event going on right now. I thought I would mention I also played the first 3 chapters of The Room with my boyfriend (via him streaming it to me) since I will never write an actually post about it as I am not the one who owns the game. We enjoyed it so far :)

Review: It is a really cool concept for a game where you guess the name of a city from the pictures shown to you, but it has some flaws. I had to rename the executable file on Linux because it tries to run a file that doesn't exist otherwise, the UI is awful and while the pictures are not the usual ones you see (which is fine), they are not all the best quality.

Review: A fun puzzle city builder where you try to get the best score you can whit the buildings you are given across procedural generated islands. Only problem is that it gets a bit repetitive after a while but I enjoyed my time with it. Runs without issues on Linux.

Review: Way too colourful shot'em up game to the point I had no idea WTF was going on at any time. Has no setting of any kind. Works fine with Proton at least.

Triple gold seriously. Damn it why is everything happening now. Its all good I pretty much finished all my puzzles when the last double was up so I dont think my like 2 puzzles would’ve done much for me

I am sorry you had to miss it. For me it came in super handy. I still have 10 or so pack left to go (I own all but the 3 that are not up for sale yet) and I got about a whole pack of puzzles done so it was a decent boost.

The only puzzles i have left are like 1k+ pieces left and i cant bring myself to play them since its just so boring once you get to like 600

Islanders always tempts me, but I’m always smacked down again since it’s not really what it claims to be. It claims to be a city builder, but it’s just a puzzle game that’s built around the theme of city building. Disappointing, since these visuals could’ve made a great visually satisfying experience.

Techically you have sandbox mode where you can kinda build a city but it doesn’t really do much at all. I wish that it was a city builder myself but for less than 4€ I can’t complain too much.
