Not sure how I should feel about this game. It was a pure gorefest. I mean it starts with you dropping into a pool of blood in the first 5 minutes of the game. And it will get more gory the longer it goes on.
I would not really class it as horror, more like a disturbed version of realtiy. Tough you get chased around by "zombies" with chainsaws a time or two ;)
Story wise I am still not really sure what it is about. It is all rather convoluted. Basically you are a detectivve that was called into a horrible murder scene in a mental hospital. All of the previously send cops have been killed and you are there to investigate why. Turns out a mentally unstable person is using an experimental machine that connects peoples minds and you are pulled into it and are trying to get out and trying to keep that mental patient in. The scenes are totally fractured and weird. Sometimes you are traversing the city, then a village, then the hospital again.

Gameplay wise I found some of the level bosses rather hard. Not because they were hard to beat, more because it was hard to find out how to beat them. Once you knew how to beat them it was pretty easy.2 Though the final endboss was a joke difficulty wise. It was harder to get to him then beat him.
