Ooops. There is a Monday and no update yet! Well tbh, I have nothing really to talk about (I wont talk about Syberia, I didn’t enjoy it – my mum didn’t enjoy it!) since I’m currently playing a loooooot sims. So there’s that. Sims and writing. Nin is out xD

To be honest I can get lost in the Sims too :D Are you playing the 4th ? I started to play on Steam now, till now I only played the Origin version, but it is so much better for me here ^^ !
Yeah, I’m playing 4, but I personally think, that for is the… well not worst, but after loving 3 sooo much, it just lacks a lot. Sure, I could go back to playing 3, but when I start that, I notice things I’m missing from 4. Tricky. Plus a lot of my writing friends play 4 and we currently try building our characters and their homes and move that around which is super fun. So 4 it is \o/
Origin is btw stupid and constantly resetting my timer. I guess with newly setting up the pc or such? Not so sure why, but it’s happening. Apparently I’m still under 50h… which is a lie. I’m closer to 300h? 400h? I’ll never know though. Luckily? I guess :D
I won’t buy it on steam though. I have a lot of stuff on Origin and I can’t bother buying it again. Plus I can’t afford it. If I could just unlock it, I’d do it. But guess that’s not working thinking
To be honest, I couldn’t agree with you more. I started to play the Sims when the 2 came out (or a bit later, I don’t remember sadly, my dad downloaded for me :’) ) and the best part was the huge number on interactions I got with it! I could do almost anything, yes the graphics wasn’t the best but it was good :D Then, in maybe 2011 or 2012 I found Sims 3, and OMG, it was the best game for me then xD It had everything: open world, nice(r) graphics, loads of content, lot’s of interactions, had Hungarian language (sadly I wasn’t really good at English then) so it was perfect :D
The 4th installment… meh :/ Yes, the graphics are better, the multitasking feature is NICE, I mean this is what we always wanted, but the overall thing felt poor :/
Right now we are that stage, where you have to pay 5 euros just to get dust in your game. I mean this is a so SIMPLE feature, I cannot imagine why do I have to pay for that :’(
I started with 1 back in the day - I would never go back to it, but damn, I LOVED it! 2? Imho it might be the best one yet, still I can’t make myself to go back to it. Although Origin at some point handed out a Version where you got EVERYTHING there ever was to the game. Ofc I grabbed that. And then came 3 and I loved it. It had just the right combination. It let us FINALLY walk around freely! It had aging for the whole neighbourhood. It had great holidays, interactions. The building? Awesome! The tool where I could use colours the way I wanted to and the same colour over and over and over? Yes! So yeah. I loved 1. I loved 2 more. I loved 3 more?! And then came 4 and… yep, nice, I can let my sims interact with more stuff at the same time! But I can’t make that good looking sims - imho it’s worse, bc it’s more comic and less realistic? - I cant do that great stuff with the building? I… I dunnooo! It’s missing sooo much! I constantly complain while I build stuff. I hate how I miss soooo much - without buying ascessiore packs. I just can’t afford them, never was able to. So yeah. Stupid 4 ;(

I completely agree with you, the Sims as a series just got ruined with the 4th installment. Just for another example, in the 3 my favorite expansion to this really day is the University expansion. In the 4th? It is a joke, it is another “rabithole-but-play-30bucks-for-no-real-reason” game pack :(((
For me the perfect Sims game would be: open world from the 3 also generations and university and maybe the future expansion too (I really liked this 3 for some reason), interactions from the 2nd, I think it was waaaay beyond it’s time, the build mode could be from the 4th and the CAS could be from 2 and 3 mixed up :-D

My sims moved out, to experience the whole thing and his actual ppl suddently complained about him doing stuff in his own home Dx
Yeah… I can’t agree on the building from 4, but otherwise sounds good. Just let us have the doing more stuff at the same time from 4 xD
Oh yeah I forgot that one xD The building mode is imo then personal preference, over the years I met 50/50 people who loved Sims 3 building or Sims 4 building mode :DD To be honest, I like the 4th a bit more, but the roofing is terrible, that is the part which I hate xD
I hate the stairs. Can’t seem to make open space at the top of the stairs without screwing up the flooring somehow. But yes, the roofs are bad too. Gave up on that on my most recent house as well. It just didn’t agree to what I wanted it to do -.-
Syberia is such a classic…I super curious why you didn’t enjoy it. I’m not saying it’s without its faults– I can think of any number of reasons you might not have liked it. And I’m not saying I loved it. Message me on Steam if you prefer. :)
Oh I don’t mind saying it here. I don’t enjoy Point and Clicks any more. Biggest problem here rly. It was stupid to constantly run back and forth and back and forth. And Oh! Wait, dudes, I have to talk three times with you, before you finally agree to work with me? I have to do all the work and you can’t make yourself do anything but complain? Yeah, that’s mostly it. Also not everything made sense to me or my mum. It was not always clear where you could go. And omg, the telephon calls! How are they all soooo stupid? So yeah. Loads of stupid - and lazy - characters, that got on my nerves. I have the second one on… origin I think? Or Uplay? Can’t say. I don’t wanna play it. And I don’t think my mum wants to play it either. I should really not play P’n’C any more D:
Yeah, it’s certainly pretty old school PnC…so is the sequel. I have Syberia 3 in my alt’s backlog, so I have to think it’s been somewhat modernized. I’ll have to find out someday.

I should just accept that I dislike PnCs for the most part. It’s ok, I don’t have that many \o/
point and clicks are my favorite, but you called out all the complaints i had with syberia here. definitely had a couple times where i referred to a guide and it told me to go somewhere i hadn’t realized was an option. also got frustrated having to walk back and forth across a screen that had nothing but a road when i needed to go between areas at the ends. i ended up liking it overall because even with the awkward dialogue i enjoyed the whimsy of the story. syberia 2 may have been better with the characters but it’s largely the same feel. i’ll play syberia 3 if i manage to win it but i don’t see myself buying it.
Ah, it might be kind of a relieve to hear somebody say this about the game while liking the genre. I don’t feel as guilty anymore. I mean, I do have PnCs I like. I still do. There are some, I just click with and just love, but mostly I see the genre, I go the other way. Which is a shame, considering it’s the first genre I ever played O.O
