Hey Everyone,

You’ll have to bear with me while I learn to use this markdown syntax. I’ve been using BB code for my whole internet life lol. Steam gifts is the first site that I’ve joined that uses it, believe it or not. For now, I apologise for my lack of beautifully formatted posting, with thumbnails and all.

In the past year, I’ve been off work due to needing surgery, and I’ve amassed quite the collection of mostly bundle games. My situation means that I can’t really afford the latest stuff for the moment, but I have quite a lot of games to go through now anyway. There are a few in my collection that I will need to install something (Wine maybe) in order to play since I’m a Mac user. Also, there are a few games that are way too violent for my taste and I probably won’t get around to playing those. Some could be free games that I added with the intention of maybe giving them a chance. You know how that goes. In the beginning, I activated everything from bundles… now, I am a little more conservative about what I put on my account.

Since joining the group, I’ve cleared three games off my backlog.

Dust: An Elysian Tale
Most people probably know this game anyway. Metroidvania-style platform adventure. This is probably the best-written game of this type that I’ve played in a long time. Don’t let my Steam history fool you, I used to be an avid console gamer. I read that this game was developed by one person, if true, that’s even more impressive. Every detail from the art style right down to the soundtrack is extremely polished. I would totally play this game again. I might very well do just that since I didn’t get all of the achievements.

Dark Arcana: The Carnival
This one is a typical hidden object game with an “oh no my mom got kidnapped by an evil being” storyline. It was one of the better stories from Artifex Mundi. It was spooky but by no means scary. I never take their stories seriously though. They’re always kinda silly. As far as the puzzles go, they were a little too easy IMHO. I may do another play-through on the higher difficulty setting, at some point, in an attempt to get 100% of the achievements. That won’t make the puzzles any harder, it just leaves out the hints, etc.

Glass Masquerade
I received this game free from Humble Bundle some time ago, and I honestly wasn’t expecting a whole lot from it. Now, having played it, I am pleasantly surprised. The jigsaw puzzles are beautiful and the music is relaxing. I really like jigsaw puzzles anyway and this was a nice spin on those. I loved it so much I went and bought one of the dlcs for some more puzzles, and I may get the other one at a later time. It was extremely easy to get all the achievements for it. Although, it does have replay value due to the game keeping your best time for each puzzle.

Welcome, if you havent yet check out this
https://kubikill.github.io/blaeogenerators/
With this you can create all the boxes that others use, very simple to use since for the most part it does everything for you.
Good luck completing more of your games and well done on you 3 you already did

ShannonApple

Thank you. :)

That link doesn’t work. It’s okay though. I’ll figure it out, I’m a bit of a techy anyways. ^^

Cece09

You I dont know why I couldnt get it to be a link, So i tested it out by pasting it down and it worked but then I dont know how it works for others

ShannonApple

Ah, yea, works when pasted. That’s weird. :)

Testing…

Overlord

0 hours, no achievements

Cece09

If you didnt make sure you paste your steam id into the setting tab that way it will fetch your data and you dont have to find all your games just to type it in

ShannonApple

Oh, I assumed it was doing that automatically since the site already fetches my game data?

Cece09

Since its not attached to the site or anything to do with steam Im pretty sure you do need to put in your id so it knows where to fetch the data from or you get the whole 0 hours 0 achievements going on. Especially since it will go possible reasons for it not working, it does mention the id too

ShannonApple

Ah, but that would be correct for that game. :) I had it open because I had just added it to my account, so used the game number as test. Got it from GMG VIP free mystery game thing.

EDIT: I checked with another game I have played and it’s showing 0:0 too, so I dunno haha.

I don’t see an option in account settings for Steam ID. :(

Cece09

https://steamidfinder.com

Put in your profile name or url then copy steamID64 number
I can not get links to work in this damn site XD
Works fine everywhere else but not on this

ShannonApple

What I meant was. When I click on my account/settings, there’s no option to paste in the Steam ID. If that is what you meant by setting tab?

color: #FFFFFF”>0 hours, no achievements
</p></div> </div>

See this part? The hours and achievements appear to be entered manually there. It specifically says to display 0 hours and no achievements.

If people aren’t inputting that info themselves, then I’m confused. Haha!

Cece09

Oh thats what you ment. I thought it was like others I knew where they just couldnt find their id. Idk then my only settings in the generator is autofill and steam id

ShannonApple

Ah, on the generator thing. Now I see that it has tabs. I feel dumb.

I’m blaming my pain meds hahaha! They do honestly make me really stupid. XD

Welcome to BLAEO! :)
If Cece09’s link isn’t working, try using this one: BLAEO Generators
Else you simply can “steal” codes from others to understand how they work and edit them to your own.

Thank you. :)
