I've only played the story! Which is ok. I can live with this. But at the same time so weird. I don't even feel tempted to touch the endless mode, bc it would sure as hell suck hard! All this stupid walking! I felt rather annoyed at times. And I honestly don't know why I'd even try surviving in this game, if there was no other goal than surviving… I dunno 500 days is one achievement I think. So yeah, not tempted apart from "I need cheevoooooos!". So I decided to not need them. Which leaves me with: I'm done!
Well for now. There will probably be a fourth episode and I might go back for that. Or not. Who knows.
The game itself… Well it was ok. It felt super cold - freezing at the same time in rl sure helped with the feeling - and eating on the side made me feel like… wooooow, so easy! Life is SO easy. As I said, it's a lot of walking around. I kinda wish there was a auto walk button. I repeatedly tried pressing Z because I used to have autowalk on WoW on Z, but nothing happened D:
I died a couple of times. Always killed by bear. The bear is stupid. Also I think the games lagged a bit in Episode 2 with fighting it, so that was a struggle. And then obv my bug, glitch whatever. At some point whenever I entered a house I was teleported to a fixed point on the map. I couldn't progress. I really thought this was it. Done, end. Finite. Bc I was not gonna restart the whole Episode. Luckily I had a couple of saves and one of them still worked so I could finish the game.
But man. As kid I was so afraid of wolves. I still don't like them, actually I still fear them. And here? The random wolves in E 1 and 2 worked for the most part, but in E 3 they rot together and attack in pack. I hate it! It's horrible. I mean, I managed, bc I had guns, but at the same times it's soooo unpleasant. Especially while you try to carry a person to safety. Which is stupid, time robbing, exhausting and WHY IS THERE NO AUTOWALK?!?
I was a bit surprised to learn that you're getting food poisoning by eating a raw fish. Maybe I slept a night, but it was still pretty fresh, ok? Like 97%. It should have been good! Apparently not. That was unpleasant. Luckily ppl don't have to use the toilet in a snow covered and apocalyptical Canada xD
Hidden LEWD Rating: Uh….?
Gay-Ship: There were a lot of male survivors having apparently travelled with a male companion but gay? Dunno. So no D:
Recommendation? If you feel like freezing while gaming, love wolves, collecting wood, hunting, fishing, building stuff, trying to survive: Yeah sure xD
Cat Story ahead!
Nope
Oh man, I somehow forgot… it’s already Sunday! I haven’t really been doing much apart from gaming, trying to settle in with the cats and… yeah, reading and writing I guess. That’s about it. I’m functioning. I’m enjoying my gaming, but that’s mostly it at the moment. Which is ok I guess. It could be worse.
Also I’m freezing a lot, bc the windows somehow let in the cold air. Sucks a lot.
My cats? Still annoying. I moved just yesterday the cat tree from the living room into my bedroom, bc Ameno realized he could climb from the top most part into a shelf… yeah, didn’t enjoy that. So now it’s in the bedroom. Tizio still crawled in the morning into bed with me, so yay to that!
Also no snowstorm at my place! There was supposed to be one, now it’s further south and I’m save :3
Hope you’re all doing fine and enjoy your games \o/
So much from me :)
Have a lovely week!

I never managed to get the patience to finish the long dark. I’ll have to one day :D
And yeah, raw fish can cause you some disease ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_disease_and_parasites#Eating_raw_fish ), that’s why usually they’re frozen before being used for sushi and stuff.
The window is letting in cold air? Are they like old , badly isolated window? That must sucks :/
Oh, I feel you. It’s soooo much stupid walking! (Wow, it even has the walking simulator tag xD)
Ah. Huh. Well. Uhm… Oooookay. Well she didn’t die, ok? She just suffered while walking home. Stupid girl to just eat raw fish! xD
Well they don’t seem super old, but not new either. Not even my dad is sure what’s the deal with that. Also he tried holding a lighter to figure out where the problem was - and poof flame was out o.O
The Long Dark is a game for me and not for me at the same time. xD I’m skipping it.
I feel you! It might be a good choice to not do this xD
Thanks for the report, Nin. Yeah, I’ve never really played a hardcore survival game that I can think of, but I keep thinking maybe it would be appealing…? Not fun, per se. But maybe rewarding? Like, 90% annoying, lonely, and even scary…but 10% rewarding and “fun.” I never picked up The Long Dark (I skipped that Monthly) but it still has an odd pull to it…
I hope you get something resolved with the drafty windows…and if not, Spring is around the corner! :D
Yeah, I get that. Since it’s a first person game I was rather… conflicted myself. But eventually it worked out without the bracelets… and apart from the stuuuuupid waaaaaaalking, it was alright xD
Yeah, I should just write to my landlord and tell him, but I kinda maybe don’t have the courage atm hides
bracelets?
Yeah, bracelets for traveling sickness. Since it’s more or less the same as the motion sickness I sometimes experience with games, they tend to help here as well - I don’t get traveling sickness for the most part though…
Wow, I have never heard of such a thing. I guess I don’t know anybody with motion sickness? Or maybe I need to get out more.
I don’t think you meet these ppl “outside”. Maybe in a bus or train. Yk the ones who always have to sit in the direction the vehicle drives? Or the ppl who always have to sit in the front in a car, bc they’ll get sick in the back (I’m one of those, although I can stand a while in the back). And then gamers, who get sick while playing walking simulators or first person games. You can actually train it. Like with The Long Dark, at some point I could play it without the bracelets. But since I tend to avoid games like those, I don’t train it that much. So I’m getting unwell if I don’t use the bracelets at first. Tricky really.
I actually talked with a few others by now about that. Somehow you’re more likely to find ppl with this, if you suffer from it yourself I guess. It’s not really baaaaaaaad. I mean, I could just avoid these kinda games in general and that’s it. But at the same time I miss out on a few really great games - like I still have to get back to Fallout 4. I played that before I had the bracelets and… it was not pleasant, although I blame the building the base thing and not so much the actual game. I kinda avoided going back though hides
I hate cold, but will try to play the long dark soon :). I will try to autowalk as well :D
OMG! If you figure out how autowalk works…! xD
Have fun with it :3
Don’t let the wolves bite - too much xD
