Update 57: 8th of June to 14th of June
Beaten/completed 4 games this week and also beaten two DLC’s in PPU. I would call that good progress.
I really like this VN. You are a criminal justice student that solves cases. The puzzles are nice, not too easy and not too hard. Getting all achievements is a hazzle though since you have no walkthroughs and the achievments discription does not help much. The translation is really good for a Chinese VN. One other sad point is that you can only play 2 cases. The third is locked behind a DLC.
I've read the book so I knew what to expect story wise. Liked the story, tough I sometimes found it too slow paced. Also not a big fan of the QET's Could have done without those.
It's a good maze game, if there were not the added timer and some of the traps are just crazy, especially since you get one hit killed.
Other things I disliked:
- no options menu
- no pause button
- escape brings you out of the level instantly
- no ingame-screenshot
- no window mode
Interesting war/survival simulation from the point of view of civilians that just want to survive. Will definitly get back to it someday for all the achievments I missed.

I think it was better for me to firstly play Pillars of the Earth, and then read the book. It made game more interesting. Just like I played Game of Thrones RPG before I knew about the books.
It’s like reading game walkhrough or Wikipedia page before playing it. Sadly games lose whole “wow” moment that way.
True but considering that I read the book way before there ever was a game I could not undo the order. And yeah I am old enough to have read the book a few years after it came actually out.
