I'm no big fan of 2D, platform or jumping games. My library probably suggests that already. But I got this one gifted and now challenged to play it. So I did. I even started liking it in between and then… I didn't anymore. I get how the story and set up and everything is cute and ppl might totally be into this game. I'm just not.
So let's start with the obvious: The jumping/flying. Right to the end I never quite managed to get this boy flying. Took me way too long to take off. At some point we even loose the flying aspect and are reduced to jumping (and a little bit of flapping our wings) and at this point I was close to abandoning the game. I couldn't make him do what I wanted. I was even willing to make other ppl play this part for me, bc… I couldn't. My last attempt was doing it not with controller but with mouse&keyboard and you wont believe it, but I managed! It was not pretty but it worked. Even the fighting seemed to become easier! Should have known this from the start I guess…
Fighting is btw a good point. I am not good with fighting. In some games I'm doing not bad, but in others… I am. In this one it was a mix of doing bad and somehow managing? I didn't like it, but it was ok I guess.
Collecting. I love collecting stuff! So collecting coins is totally up my fort! Saaaadly I'm even worse in race/parkour stuff than already in fighting or flying/jumping. So I failed. I never managed to get this stupid cannon parkour done. I was three times super close and crashed right in front of the finishing line. Somebody reminded me, that maybe we don't have to get 100% in every game. This hurts, bc the last 6 achievements all evolve around this stupid parkour, but here I am, giving up on it. I did complete the main story, so that's fine, but still. SO annoying!

Recommendation? If you like 2D/platformer/jumping games, yes. Otherwise: No! Don't even let ppl gift it to you! *hides*
