Reaching the state that I had in original game. I switched to Director's Cut but stopped playing for a long time.

Universe seems to be a pretty big place. Basic gameplay loop is simple but feels still fun. Gotta collect 'em all.

Finally done with this. I kickstarted this game so took a while to actually finish the campaign. Stopped playing it for years. Came back couple times and now squeezed it through. It is a solid game from niche genre I don't like. RNG has too much impact and the difficulty is purely artificial. Game is as hard as an idle clicker. There is no game over in this game. You cannot fail. Losing just means more hours to grind timer. Once that psychological illusion vanishes, game becomes mind numbingly tedious. You just want to get it over but enemy gets two criticals in row and kills one of your heroes. Now you have to spend hours to grind another max level hero. Fun maximized.

Completed the main campaign but not touching the additional ones. Gameplay is pretty hard. You cannot directly control your units but place instead markers and they either accept it or not (you can affect likelihood by increasing bounty on marker). Most of the missions are actually hard-ish because of either this passive control mechanism or game's age. It has FPS related bug which causes enemies to spawn at much higher rate on modern computers. Found luckily some fixing later on campaign for that.
