Had a pretty busy month, so unfortunately this took me more than it should’ve. I had already almost finished Regency Solitaire before posting my last update, but I wanted to keep it for this one. It was quite an enjoyable solitaire-based game; the story wasn’t interesting if you’re looking for something like that, but it had an overall nice feeling to it and had lots of tiny upgrades that show up as items for the ball you’re supposed to prepare. Although I have to admit, it was a bit bland playing it straight after Solitairica.

I’m tired of writing the same thing over and over, so I’m going to skip Zup! 5.

Although in Aozora Meikyuu you get the achievement as soon as you start playing, I legitimately wanted to play this, and I think I went through all or at least most endings. It’s more on the short side (most of my playtime in games has idled time in it as well, so those aren’t very accurate) and it’s somewhat simplistic, but still fun. It’s not the kind of VN that’ll make you think and wonder what’s going to happen next (like Bad End, for example) even though it does try to be like that a little, but I still don’t think it should be overlooked, as I found the (right) ending to be somewhat interesting.

Darkarta: A Broken Heart’s Quest is a HOG I had heard a lot about, but I was disappointed exactly because it was so praised. I noticed that they tried to do something a bit different with the HO scenes and puzzles, the visuals are pretty good and the story is not horrible, but I wouldn’t call it one of the best HOGs I’ve ever played.

I liked the first of the Enigmatis series and I liked Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood even more. I loved how the locations changed often (basically how realities kept changing) and how new things to do appeared in places you’ve already been to, but in a different way compared to what I’ve seen so far, since this actually helps the story. Maybe I’m just unwillingly biased to Artifex Mundi without really realizing it? I was planning to play the third game as well, but decided to go for something shorter because of my lack of time.

I’ve been lurking for a sale on A Normal Lost Phone and after buying a bunch of games this summer sale, I thought I might as well buy it since I love this type of games, even though I would’ve normally waited until it got bundled or on sale for ~1€. I was having problems with Steam when I played this, and I had to quickly replay it in order to get the achievements, so, unfortunately, they’re a bit messed up. But I absolutely loved the game and its overall message; the small “puzzles” were mostly finding passwords, which wasn’t exactly difficult, so if you’re looking for a really hard game, it’s not for you. However, if you’re looking for a short, interesting story, it definitely is, but I don’t want to say more because I feel like it’d spoil it

I don’t usually put long-term goals under “up next”, but I’ve been playing Gems of War in short bursts over the past few weeks and I am hooked. I won a Demon Hunter Bundle on SG for my birthday and I hadn’t played until that, it was just sitting in my library and I was too lazy to actually do it. I’ve also signed up with this for the monthly theme, but I only have a few levels to go, so there’s no way it’ll take me 12 more hours, I’ll have to find an extra one to complete the lacking hours and I have no idea what to play ;-; Anyway, like I said, I absolutely love this one and I wish I could stop after getting the final achievement, but I know I won’t be able to. I’m predicting this one will ruin my life.

I saw a youtuber playing Peace, Death! and I thought it looked really fun, so it’s another summer sale grab. It’s gotten more and more difficult and I still have an in-game week or two and I have no idea how I’m going to handle it :D kill me

Morphblade is an SG win and I kind of forgot about it until recently, which is rather sad, because it looks like the kind of game that I’d get hooked to without realizing.

I literally bought Masky just because it looked weird. I don’t really know what it’s about. Maybe dancing or something? I also wanted Californium simply because it looked really good, although I can’t seem to remember where I got it from; I know there was a good bundle that included this but I don’t think I got it.

Doors looks interesting and is apparently “Inspired by Limbo, The Stanley Parable, and the Portal Series”, but I have the slight feeling that I’m going to be too lazy to play this one.
