Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is done and dusted. Sort of. The base game main campaign is complete, but I still haven’t uncovered the head of the Kult of Kosmos, although I’m pretty sure I know who she is Aspasia. I remember Myrrine doubting her and it kind of left a sour taste in my mouth for Aspasia. Plus, as I think about what happened to Pericles and who really had access to his habits and to him in general, it starts to add up in my head.. Also, I have the majority of DLC left as well. So, done, but not done. Right now I’m right at 100 hours. Probably will be around 140 before I finish everything else. Truly an excellent game and one of those, if I could only afford one game, type of games.

I also played through Draugen. Honestly, it’s pretty meh overall. Not bad, and it had a lot of positives, but it wasn’t especially noteworthy despite that. Also a bit of a comical story from the perspective that it doesn’t actually seem to have anything to do with Draugen other than maybe being a metaphor for drowning in your delusion, but that’s also comical since the protagonist is both delusional in that he is following the ghost of a person that doesn’t exist, but then also has some very real independent personalities in his head, which he knows is just in his head, and is totally cool with. There promises to be sequels (or perhaps even episodes), and I’ll check them out if they release, but still, I feel this wasn’t nearly as good as it could have been despite having great graphics, excellent voice acting, and an interesting story. It definitely feels like the freshmen effort for a series that will probably improve with new installments.

I plan to fire up Wolfy 2 next along with trying out Project Winter and the Blackout Club and WW 3 lol.

Interesting what you say about Draugen. It originally was going to be a horror / psychological horror game about the Draugen, but Red Thread Games took a major shift somewhere during development. I do still hope to pick it up someday to support RTG, creators of one of my favorite games of all-time (Dreamfall Chapters).

Yeah. There are parts of the game that lead you to believe that there really is a Draugen, but you definitely never encounter it, or even solve the mystery of the town you are in during the game lol, despite solving aspects of it.

That’s interesting! Never knew about that.

In 2014 the developers said Draugen is inspired by games like Amnesia and Outlast, but also mentioned Gone Home as an inspiration.
One of the developers said, “I am dreading creating this game… Horror games scare the living sh** out of me, and now I have to do research….”

I saw your Draugen screenshots yesterday and I was hoping you’d write a review here.
A bit bummed it’s not as good as I expected it to be. I really liked the trailer and overall setting. :/
Might wait for some deep discounts.

Yeah, waiting for a discount might be ideal. Not that I really feel $19.99 is overpriced, but I do think it could easily lead to disappointment at that price.

100 hours just to beat the main game? faints Not that that’s bad, but I as someone with who mostly / can only play indie games (on steam) - those playtimes are big to me. Cool to hear you had a great time that AC world. :)

Also what is this Wolfy 2 game btw? I just searched it up on Steam, but nothing came up.

robilar5500

Yeah. It’s at least as expansive as Witcher 3, which was to that point the largest game I’d ever played (single player anyway).

…and Wolfenstein 2. :)
