I played more games than I planned and while I didn't manage to make it a nice 100 I changed my goal near the end to be 123 and I made that
so hey- 123 games played (started/dropped/beaten)
I failed moving my average cheevo completion up dont know what I was thinking or how I thought I could make that...its still at 50%
as for not buying any games for myself...I was weak and bought the answer arc for umineko as soon as I finished teh question arcs.
but other than that and a few small things that bareelyyy count I haven't broken it..
now seeing as how I have other things on my mind I dont have as much time for games this upcoming year. However my new resolutions.

rest were varrying degrees of okay to trash and some I half skipped through.
next little while I’m going through all my unstarted VN’s and the trasier ones reading a bit of then skimming through/shelveing and the better ones putting on hold till I have time to read the properly.
started a few weeks ago as well but idk its something that will make a small dent in my backlog.
That reminds me I need to start reading Hirugashi (and activate all those keys I have for it). Sometimes I think if I had a windows tablet where I could run my steam VNs on, I’d make faster progress just because i’d be able to read them in bed in a comfy manner.
Omg sammee but not for reading in bed cause i can do that on my laptop just cause i could read it outside of my home like reading on the bus or something.
sadly my laptop heats up a lot AND doesn’t have more than 20 min of battery life it it’s not plugged anymore, so reading in bed is extremely uncomfy (Can’t have it resting on the fluffy duvet, have to have it plugged, etc). A tablet would be so much less hassle.
Congrats on beating a whooping of 95 game last year & surpassing your goal of played! :D As for % completion rate it’s really hard to keep it moving up even percent by percent, because of the way Valve calculates it. Increasing it by 25% in a year would be a Herculean feat without cheating or deleting all your games that are below 75% (because each game lower than that makes it harder and harder to reach the global 75%, and the less % a game has, the more it lowers the general score).
Btw, from what you played, how would you compare Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight and Momodora III ? I only played RUtM (and liked it), should I look into playing III as well?

okay so RUtM and Momo III are completely different games. like completely different. have you ever played Cave story? Momodora I was a love letter to cave story and II & III just continue that while RUtM is completely different.
Momodora III was also kinda weird in that I found most of the bosses were simply run and spam attack right at them getting hurt while you do slowly chipping away and winning with half a heart left vs the roll doge thing of reverie or the frantically jumping and running around of the first 2.
Personally I liked it but…
The first 3 games have less of a story if that makes sense and a completely different gameplay.
RUtM does a almost soulslike combat where rolling matters and dodging attacks with pinpoint accuracy is effective and I love it and recommend it.
I’m moving around in circles now but If you have III and want to spend an hour or two its a perfectly great game and totally worth your time but don’t compare it to Reverie…and on that note I can’t remember cause its been years but I think I liked one of the first two better than the third so what I recommend is if you don’t already have III you could find the freeware versions of momo I & II and try them and see what you think.
I haven’t played Cave Story, but your description is pretty comprehensive. Like I mentioned, I liked RUtM. It’s the only one I played from the series, and sort of my reference point. I don’t own III, I was wondering if I should, but if they are so different I think I’ll just look toward the future of the series with Minoria, instead of the past. Thanks for the reply :)
