It’s been a while since the last update and I haven’t been commenting much, past few weeks have been really rough. Mental health took a hit and past 3 days I’ve been getting migraines and seizures again. Not fun. :( Still trying to play some games and have fun, just taking it slow. Hopefully things improve and I’ll be more active soon!

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (April 4th)
A SG win I've been playing on/off for a year now, I finally beat it! I have mixed feelings about this game, didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping sadly. It's not bad, but it gets repetitive quick and the abilities aren't very unique/fun to use. It's a whole lot of kiting around mobs, trying not to aggro even more mobs that are nearby. Once aggroed they stay grouped up which would be a pain. Sometimes I'd have to repeatedly die in order to thin out the group, because there'd be 50+ guys all clumped up together attacking me from range. I'm a sucker for tower defense games though, so the trap part was a lot of fun. All in all a pretty bland game that I enjoyed at first but became too same-y after a while, so I just listened to podcasts while mindlessly killing dudes.

Iron Snout (April 5th)
This was actually so much fun, I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. It's a simple free-to-play fighting game that has a mobile feel. It was super addicting and was an enjoyable couple hours of gameplay. Yes, you can make the game easy by spamming wasd and the arrow keys at the same time and I read people were using scripts too idk. That completely defeats the purpose of the game imo. I definitely recommend at least trying to play it, you might be pleasantly surprised. I had an absolute blast doing combos and figuring out all the ways of interacting with the wolves.

I understand what you mean. I’m going through some emotional and mental problems as well and they really take their toll on my hobbies which are supposed to be entertaining. I truly hope that both of us will be able to pull through sooner than later. You’re doing right by taking things slow, it’s important to not let yourself be overwhelmed.

I played the final cut for the Van Helsing game. I liked it but it is absolutely nothing special and this genre has far better options available. I definitely agree with the tower defense minigames, it was my most favourite part in the entire game. Have you heard of Deathtrap? I haven’t played it myself but it’s supposed to be the completely tower defense version set in Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing universe, it has pretty positive reviews too. Definitely check it out if you’re interested :)

I agree with Iron Snout. I heard the game on a gaming social website I frequented before, the developer was a member there and he posted updates periodically during its development stage. As soon as he announced that the game was released I played it and had a blast. It did take some practice to get those score related achievements though but the game was really fun, I liked the free DLC too :)

Yeah, it’s definitely frustrating and exhausting. Wishing you all the best as well, hope things start looking up. :)

Ooh I’d heard about Deathtrap a while ago but completely forgot about it. Thanks for sharing, I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled in case it ever goes on sale.
