April 2020

From one hand - I was sitting home for the whole month… From the other - I’m working from home, so I was really busy. All in all in terms of gaming it was ballanced month - finished 10 games, but have 9 new. Most of the games were allright. Nothing groundbreaking, a few solid ones. I’m still going with my “one bigger game a month” theme - I finished massive one (Digimons), althought I must say - most of the work was done in March.

Best game of the month: Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter

Some good games there, IMO, some of which I’ve played, others of which are in my backlog.

  • Remember Me remains one of my favorite games, and it’s really outside of my typical genre. I’ve never played a fighting/beat-em-up/etc. game, but this one was fantastic, IMO…one of my very favorite SG wins, and one of my favorite 100% completions because they did achievements right, IMO.
  • The Last Tinker was also fun. I played it on an alt account because I didn’t want to go for completion.
  • The Fidelio Incident was a nice walking sim that I enjoyed.
  • I played both of the Lost Winds games a couple of years ago with my kids. Nice gameplay and story, I thought.
  • I played My Brother Rabbit back in November. I liked the fresh take on a HOG.
  • I played Cornerstone several years ago when my kids were younger. Not the best game of the genre, but still a lot of fun.
  • Both Sherlock games remain firmly in my alt’s backlog. I have several Sherlock games but have actually never played one. Sad.
  • I played part of The Cat Lady on GOG but never finished it. I find it harder to finish GOG games for some reason.

Thanks for the update– great progress!

I just realised that Cat Lady was made in my country, so I think this will be perfect for monthly challenge
