Oh last episode of Walking Dead is finally out! That’s a good reminder I should finish it as well.

Minamimoto

Yes! I really like to hear more opinions!

Cece09

Yeah that bad coma time must be for people not using a guide. With a guide it took me less then 9 hours to 100% the game since most of them required its own playthrough. Playing it on your own without one I think would be a struggle, they aren’t really clear on what you have to do and you can easily miss certain steps. Heck even when I followed it step by step sometimes the walkthrough wasn’t right and I ended up with missing scenes

Minamimoto

Now I’m even less motivated lol. I don’t like using guides b/c somehow it doesn’t feel like I’m putting the effort in myself. I don’t understand why some achievements have to be that complicated. One or two may be alright but BDC has A LOT of those x_x

Cece09

Yeah I mean there’s one where you have to do 9 certain thing in random areas just to unlock it. But there’s also one which just stopped the game for me was using a fake worm bait, if you use that at least on the path I was going it refused to let me continue forward since I had to use the real worm so that just blocked off the achievements and the rest of the game. Certain things like that where even 1 choice can block off everything would make this an achievement hunters nightmare. I struggled and I used a guide the whole way through since had no clue of what was going on because as I said even with that following it step by step every now and then I was missing a scene or I was missing something for the achievement that I wasn’t told about

So that “adorable TSRPG” (seriously, they put both tactical and strategy in the games name?) is as bad as it looks? :P

Minamimoto

They definately wanted to put some extra in their game’s name :D It may be cute and adorable if it wasn’t pissing me off because of how broken it is. Some skills at some turns make the game crash and it was hard just to finish the tutorial because I had to restart it a thousand times while writing notes which command I can’t choose at which turn! Make the game at least playable before publishing it? x_x

LastM

I see that you have already chosen your starter for the next generation. A fine choice, but Sobble is still the best. :P
But seriously, all of them look great. That Daenerys reminded me that I need to call my cable company to get me some HBO before GOT starts. Thanks, btw. xD

Minamimoto

Let’s wait for their evolutions first! If Scorbunny will be another Fighting/Fire I’ll choose Sobble :P
Thanks to you too! I just had the feeling I have to crochet something GOT-related before it starts xD

LastM

Just need to crochet Jon Snow and an Iron Throne big enough for both of them and you’re ready for season 8! xD

Minamimoto

I’d rather crochet Cercei and make her a throne only for herself :P

LastM

Now that’s a great a idea. I can already hear The Rains of Castamere playing in the background. xD

Formidolosus

I hear you about walking simulators. I mean I probably enjoy them a bit more than you, but it still seemed a bit of a strange idea for a ‘game’. I think others are enjoying them more because people are generally just reading a lot less and they are losing that avenue of introspection and narrative, so when they come across a game with a sole focus on telling a story while the user walks through the world, it scratches an itch they probably didn’t know they had, and it seems amazing to them. But for someone who reads poems and other stories, the narrative might not hold up so well to critical inspection, and you’re just left with a walk essentially.

Minamimoto

The idea itself isn’t even that bad if they’d do it more interestingly. I enjoy narrative parts in any media but in most walking simulators there isn’t something to discover but just walking straight down a path. I could also listen to an audio book and look at google wallpapers while doing so. But maybe I’ll change my opinion after I have played What Remains of Edith Flinch?

Formidolosus

Yeah exactly! Part of what makes video games such a powerful form of entertainment, is the fact you as the player are in essence the driving force behind the narrative, so it seems a bit of a waste if all you are doing as the player is triggering cut scenes or dialogue. I think a game like firewatch demonstrated a lot better how a walking simulator should function. You are still limited in your actions and options, but it still felt more engaging because you were performing actions to keep the story going.

tsupertsundere

I’m glad you had two games out of the challenge you enjoyed, even if the third was a dud! I’m especially happy you really clicked with Bad Dream: Coma c: Hearing you react so to different things (I love imagining you with your hands over your mouth just like <:O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) made me smile.

I think you’ll like What Remains of Edith Finch more than Dear Esther because there is more to do in Edith Finch than just walk - beyond the different story segments, stopping and exploring the house makes me feel more along the lines of an archaeologist rather than someone strolling in a park. Dear Esther was the START of the subgenre, and since then it’s evolved in more engaging ways for sure.

I, unfortunately, stumbled across what I think is like THE big spoiler for the end of the Walking Dead Final Season and it really makes me >:/ . It’s dampened my excitement to play it again… though I do think we’ll dig into it after Yakuza (and Judgment) is completed.

As always, your crocheting is incredible!

Minamimoto

Yes of course! It’s a great list and I will play the other two as soon as possible (and by that I mean when I get tired of Tropico 6 <.<)
I think Epicstore gave What Remains of Edith Flinch away some month ago so sooomeday I’ll play it. It’s a shame BLAEO only supports steam. I guess I have to challenge myself someday :D And I’m pretty curious about it. Though I also was about Dear Esther… Ugh.

Aw jeez no! Spoilers are terrible, I’m really sorry for you! Although I can think about two spoilers… That’s why I play or watch those things the same day they get released, so no one can spoiler me <.< Maybe you can forget it somehow (probably not) D:

Thanks! :]

EvilBlackSheep

More adorable crochet things \o/ I’m always looking forward to your reports to see what else you have created :3

I wish I had bought the last season of the walking dead before it was removed from the store :/ I’m tempted to watch a playthrough on youtube for that final season tho, as I’ve played all the other games.

Minamimoto

That’s so nice for you to say. Thank you a lot ♥ And someday a Whimsicott will be with them! °^°

Yes that really sucks… But isn’t it at least available at Epic Store? That may still be an option.

EvilBlackSheep

I think yes it is, but I’m still not ready to take the jump and buy something on the Epic store.
