How did you like Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York? I got that as part of Humble Choice and I can’t decide whether to add it to my own library or give it away on SG. I loved the original RPG from 2006 but obviously this is a very different style of game.
I thought their previous VN was ok (except the abrupt ending that left many things unresolved), but I found this one pretty bad. The story was rushed and shallow, the writing felt lazy (not just the writing, they reused several backgrounds from the previous game too) and at times too edgy.
Hard to recommend a VN if the writing is subpar so I would say to skip it
Ah, too bad, but thanks for your honest review! VN aren’t usually my thing anyway, which is part of why I was so hesitant. Well, I suppose it’ll be added to my give away on SG pile =D
