UPDATE 18 January

Sadly, I have nothing exciting to report this Friday. Again. I’ve been busy. Really busy.

I actually wouldn’t have posted at all except that I had decided I’d try to make weekly posts here to keep on top of my backlog. So here we are.

Played:

  • Conan Exiles
    Conan Exiles

    163 hours playtime

    19 of 25 achievements

I ran one Conan dungeon with my friend, which earned me another achievement towards completion.

Also played a few hours on Destiny 2. Just ran the weekly Flashpoint and a few Bounties.

That’s about all the gaming I did this week.

Book-Game Project update:

I finished the book 1984 before I have even touched the game, amazingly enough. I’m pleased with that.

Next up is to actually play the game!

My area is forecast to be hit with a winter storm this weekend and the flu has been running rampant in my social circle, so my real life plans for Saturday have already been canceled. I do have school work to do, but I might have some extra game time coming up. Hopefully.

Have a great week, my friends!

I actually wouldn’t have posted at all except that I had decided I’d try to make weekly posts here to keep on top of my backlog. So here we are.

My usual approach is to post every 3 games I’ve completed. Since this time this includes two really long games I haven’t posted in 3-4 months time, which I find unsatisfying. I’m thinking of changing to bi-weekly posts for my reports, esp. seeing how most of the games left in my backlog are on the longer end as well…I think your post is a great example to show that posting can be worthwhile, even when there is not so much to report. It’s short, but interesting, it still documents that there has been progress and it’s well arranged. In short: it’s nice to read through. This definitely gave me a push towards the bi-weekly posts.

A great week to you too and I hope you’ll be spared by the flu :)

I get that and if you think it’d work out better for you to move to bi-weekly updates then I say go for it. People posting their big completion lists are awesome and motivating - but it’s nice to see the struggle to complete too, I think, for those of us who tend to be less… ambitious, lol… or stuck in the mire of long storied games. That we’re in good company here.

Personally, if I stretched out my posts for too long it would very easily become, “Oops, missed a post. I’ll put one up next week” to then, “Oops, totally forgot to post again. Meh, I’ll get around to it.” And so on until I just completely lose focus and wander away. I’m very much a checklist person because I do my best on set routines in everything in my life. So come Fridays it hits me that I have to post something and reaffirm the small goals I’ve set here.

Thanks for the wishes, and even more so for (all) of your very thoughtful comments my friend. :)
