Indecision. is done and dusted. Pretty weird little adventure. I kind of liked it.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is also done and dusted. This one will go down as an all timer in my estimation. Amazing story and voice acting, touching and yet creepy as hell, awesome setting and graphics, fun and interesting gameplay. This one should be on people’s radars.

Far Cry: New Dawn. Actually, I’m at the final boss fight, so I’m just gonna include it now since that’ll be over next time I fire the game up. I enjoyed it and I really liked this version of the post apocalypse in general.

Mythgard: Currently, there is only one story chapter for the campaign (which is done and dusted), a bunch of tutorials, and some PvP that is really at this point PvBot. Fun game in the vein of any of your Magic the Gathering type games. It’s supposed to release sometime this summer, so hopefully there will be more story content at the least. For now, it’s a really cool, cyberpunk meets American Gods type story with nice comic book style cutscenes and surprisingly good voice acting.

A Plague Tale: Innocence already looked interesting, and then I heard that Jim Sterling (of Jimquisition fame) LOVED it. With your opinion of it added to the pile, that’s certainly a game to keep an eye on! I’m moving it to the top of the pile to get.

I can imagine, what with the plague and all, it’s not a super-cheerful story… but is it like super grody? Gross? I’m not a squeemish person, but the rat swarm looks… scarey

The game is quite graphic. That said, none of it is pointless. But, between the plague and the rats and the Inquisition, there’s plenty of death and gore to go around.

tsupertsundere

Is it standard video game gore or is the plague-y-ness emphasized heavily? Ahh, I’ll probably be fine, though

robilar5500

Expect the plague-y-ness to be in your face the whole time.
Seriously though, there isn’t another game like it IMO.

We, The Revolution

How is that one? I have it wishlisted, but don’t really have the beat on it.

I’ve only really played the intro so far. I’ll have a better sense for the game in the next few days. So far, it’s a moderately interesting story with gameplay that has some similarities to Papers Please or even LA Noire.

Nice to hear you really had an amazing time with enjoyed A Plague Tale! I feel the same, and never even played it myself. Just been watching the first hour or so on Youtube (stopping myself to watch any further more because it’s definitely one of those games I want to experience with surprises).

Besides what you already listed, I really like that it’s linear. I like those and reminds me of some of personal faves like the The Last of Us game. Like the story & gameplay just keeps moving forward. The Steam feedback & videos of people playing I watched have been really positive, so that says a lot! Glad the game delivered & seem to be a great, memorable experience overall. Could be GOTY contender for many folks

Also spoilers! Tell me I’m not the only that got teary-eyed when the dog got mauled & died in the beginning? It’s always the pets, so should’ve seen it coming it.. but still 😢

That was definitely the first of many shocking moments in the game.
