I was extremly lucky this week and won 9 games O_O I was even able to finish 5 games, even though I played more than my fair share of Farm Together (nearly 40h).

Well this is a game of riichi mahjong, but it is not very good. If you are trying to learn the game, look somewhere else.

Pros:

  • fully functional riichi mahjong game
  • rules like number of rounds, etc. are customizeable

Cons:

  • no tutorial, so if you do not know how to play the game you are out of luck. I actually watched a tutorial on youtube, to get to know how to play the game properly.
  • most of the terms are untranslated or badly translated
  • rules are either not explained or suffer from the above mentioned bad translation
  • game speed is either too fast or way to slow
  • unskipable cutscences for every play that is done break up the game play

Decent Mahjong game with 10 levels. Nothing special. Good to spend a few moments with.

Pros:

  • decent mahjong game
  • 10 different levels
  • easy achievement completion

Cons:

  • a lot of times levels are not able to be completed, since no more tile pairs are available. Sometimes you have to reload several times to get a set that works.

Interesting game play. You die every 60 seconds and you can do nothing about it. I found this game refreshing.

Pros:

  • You die every 60 seconds.
  • Fun, entertaining little game.

Cons:

  • You die every 60 seconds. You might ask now how that can be a pro and a con? Well it makes the game refreshing, but sometimes it makes it really hard too, since you die just when you reach your goal.
  • Sometimes I would have prefered a few more directions.

Nice HOG with good story and okay voice acting. Unfortuantely I ran into a game breaking bug.

Pros:

  • nice story
  • easy to medium difficult HOG scenes

Cons:

  • Voice acting is just so-so.
  • Ran into a game breaking bug near the end. I was supposed to get the fire stone from a drill and exchange it for a diamond bit. I found the diamond bit first and tried to put it into the drill (since I did not know about the fire stone). Instead of giving me the fire stone in exchange for the diamond bit, it just disapeared. Unfortunately you need the fire stone for a potion, without this you cannot proceed further in the game. So I had to redo everything :(

Overall a nice Point & Click with a decent story and good voice acting.

Pros:

  • Nice story, though I did not like the end. Did not fit the overall story in my opionion.
  • good voice acting
  • nice soundtrack
  • easy puzzles
  • retro graphic

Cons:

  • As mentioned above not a fan of the ending.
  • Some of the achievements are not really easy to get without a guide.

Well I don’t know why I won so many games this week O_o Lucky, I guess.
Okay, a lot of the GA’s had under 25 entires, but I also won something with 800+ entries.

And I found a lot of people playing Farm Together, and not all of them are women.
