Hi, Nin. I take it you didn’t like Broken Sword 3? I’ve only played the first one so far, and I heard they get worse…
oh no, i was really hoping for them to improve after the first one!
Dont worry they get worse, but I actually enjoyed number 5. It really showed how new it was compared to the others. It went back to its normal controls, its colourful and slightly cartoony. Plus its got some nice achievements to give you a reason to play but I didn’t actually need it with number 5. It has been 2 years though and frankly after the train wreak of previous games, maybe I was seeing it with tinted glasses just because I didn’t immediately hate it. I see my friend gave it a bad review, sounds like its story didn’t live up to previous games but I hated 1 through 4
The main problem I found with number 3 is that the controls completely change. The 1st two are your typical point and click controls but number 3 has you moving the character yourself and having to be near things to know if its clickable. It has qtes as well and the amount of times I died right at the start really made me angry
Agreed. That was not an improvement, but very much the opposite!
oof, spotting clickable things is one of the things that can make point and click frustrating. story is most important to me, but i’ve certainly had bad controls keep me from even getting to the story. maybe it’s good i didn’t buy bs4 to complete my collection…
I’m trying to remember bs4, like I’m looking at it and I believe that one I liked a bit but I did force myself through the series so Id need to replay to really remember my horrible experience. Maybe I’ll like them now

I’m currently thinking of dropping the whole series, tbh, but… yeah, dunno yet. But then I don’t enjoy most Point and Clicks anymore, so I’m probably not a good judge on the subject. This clearly was the worst so far for me. The Controls just didn’t work, the implemented quickaction sucked and the graphics… well, I droped it, says enough, right`? xD
Ah, yeah. Weeeeell, it looks horrible, the controls suck and I just didn’t manage the quick action thingies. So I gave up. Plus reading the summary… it doesn’t sound like I missed a lot? Weirdly, bc I’m sure I wasn’t even halfway there, but… there was just one big thing left… O.O
