I've picked up Ring Fit Adventure on the Switch and it is a great way to exercise. It's surprisingly engaging and well thought-out.

Action-Adventure Game Boy Advance Beaten

A great installment! The design of the overworld and the dungeons is excellent and thankfully straightforward so I didn't need a guide to beat the game. The only downside was the endboss which is a massive difficulty wall compared to the rest of the game.

Adventure Steam Beaten

An excellent addition to an excellent game. It picks up where the main game concluded and is nearly as beefy. Lots of new deliveries to make, people to meet and I really liked how the narrative slowly comes together. I just didn't enjoy the (optional) races.

Visual Novel Steam Completed

A very interesting VN mostly featuring female characters and androids. The plot and writing are very good and the central themes, while not unusual for the genre, are tackled with care and measure. I also really enjoyed the comic-like art style.

Hidden Object Steam Completed

This could have been a great HOG if only the story hadn't been so far-fetched and the time travel so poorly executed. On the bright side, the graphics are beautiful, the puzzles are mostly original and the collectables easy to find.

Hey, how much space do you need to play ring fit adventure? I’ve been considering picking it up now that prices have gone down again but I wanna be sure i have enough space at home to actually use it.

I have such great memories of the Minish Cap, it’s one of my favourite Zelda games.

I played City of Ghosts too (haven’t finished it yet) and it was such a cool DLC. I also loved going back to the game to see they fixed the camera movements they had at release that was giving me motion sickness. I didn’t care for the races either but overall the DLC was worth it (and as big as the base game).

A 3-meter circle is fine. Your body stays in the center but you need space around you in all directions.

now that prices have gone down again.

Yeah, 79 euros is quite steep to shell out but at 59, it’s a lot better and on par with what the bundle usually goes for second-hand.

EvilBlackSheep

Exactly. It was around that price in November but I let it pass and then with the confinements and all the restrictions it had gone up both on amazon and other places like the Fnac and such. Even second hand ones were quite pricy

Congrats on all the assassinations! I have plans to play Synergia this month, love seeing people reviewing it~
Would love to get a switch but there is only one game I would play on it so I can’t justify the purchase. =w= (Animal crossing.)

Lengray

How so? Animal Crossing is great (though I’ve only played it for a couple of hours myself, my daughter is the primary resident) but there’s a ton of great (and exclusive) games for it. However, it’s an expensive system to get into, just like any Nintendo console, actually.

Zelrune

$299 + $60 new horizons, and that’s not getting into if I would need a bigger SD card. $359 + tax to play one game? Not happening.
With a DS I could play DS games but a lot of the switch games I want to play are all available on pc.

Lengray

Fair enough. PC versions are cheaper and have better framerates/graphics so for someone who’s not interested in portability, it seems the best choice.

Have you already played Cadence of Hyrule? I am so curious about it. I don’t know if I will ever own a Switch, but if I will, it is probably because of this game.

Lengray

No, I haven’t. I checked it out on Youtube and it’s a game I would probably like. I’ve never played Crypt of the NecroDancer but this seems like a less hardcore version.

Q09066930

The best part of Crypt of the NecroDancer is music. I absolutely love its score, and it is one of the reasons why this game is so irresistibly addictive even if hardcore. I have to elaborate here, probably: music is a vital element of gameplay both in Crypt of the NecroDancer and Cadence of Hyrule. Just listen some of these dope tracks - Konga Conga Kappa (King Conga), A Cold Sweat, or The Wight to Remain. I cannot sit still while listening to them. And deeper into the game you start playing to these - Dance For Your Life and Molevolence. I mean…even without Crypt of the NecroDancer this is hilarious!

Lengray

It’s really nice indeed. I may actually pick Crypt of the NecroDancer before the sale is over since it’s very cheap, though beating it might be a pipe dream.

Q09066930

It depends on how consistent is your internal metronome. Mine is not consistent, and I still managed to beat everything except the most demanding runs where there is no room for any beat errors. Had a lot of fun while playing it.

I’ve been a musician for over 30 years so I think I’ll be alright.

Q09066930

Woah, I guess it would be easy for you then! My mother used to tell me I cannot be a musician because I don’t have an ear for it. I believed it and didn’t even try before 18 when one of my friends persuaded me to buy a bass. It was a tough period in my life and music was a great deal to me. I played bass for a couple of years, was even in a punk band, but then my friends dumped me for one of their girlfriends to play bass instead, so I have sold everything in anger and never played a thing since. Well…are you a punk or metal musician by any chance?

Q09066930

Here’s the band that is a successor to the one I was playing in. Its style differs greatly from what we used to play at repetitions (early AFI and early The Offspring mostly). At some point, my then-friends decided to go in this direction, influenced by the new guy they found for the vocals.

Lengray

Not quite ;) I play the piano and the guitar a tiny bit. Thanks for sharing the music above. I quite like it :)

Q09066930

Believe it or not, I had a piano standing in my room all my childhood. I used it as a stand for books. :)
