Finished game update
Finally managed to get at least one ending in this. Probably took me so long because of all the side quests and so on. Plus I played through three quarters of the story at the start of this year and returned to it this month. Went with the NCR ending but maybe after some time I’ll go back to try for another ending (at least for the independent Vegas ending) - which one is your favourite? I think the game aged well and even though I wish to play something else now, the game has started to feel very homey. If you havent’t played any Fallout game this one is probably a great release to become a Fallout fan. But since the franchise is so popular I’m probably just repeating everything everybody already knows.

If you havent’t played any Fallout game this one is probably a great release to become a Fallout fan.

So it’s not necessary to play one of the previous parts you would say? Because Fallout NV is in my backlog as well and I was wondering if I would profit from playing older Fallout titles first.

I only played the first one for a bit before, was probably in the same shoes. If you know some basics about fallout franchise setting. Story wise it’s not a direct sequel to any of the other titles so you don’t spoil or miss anything if you haven’t played others.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply :)

I think the first setting I got was the NCR ending, and the one I liked best was the Independent ending.

Are you planning on playing any of the DLC? I really liked them all, especially Dead Money (even though it was hard as fuck!) and Honest Hearts (Joshua Graham’s got cake!)

I’ll probably play again for the independent ending but don’t think I’ll try the dlc, since I have just the base game and still have enough quests left in it. Maybe if someone says it’s a must play otherwise probably not. Haven’t really given it much thought..

I’d say they augment the base game very well, and I wouldn’t replay the game without them. Finish out the rest of the game and see how you feel… but they’re not gamechangers by any means, if you’re not already interested.
