Short game gets short review:

Huh! I wasn’t quite expecting this one. Apparently I stumbled in the middle of a loose, interconnected story told through several escape-the-room puzzle games? This one is one where you play as a porter in a strange hotel on a lake and you help the guests to incredible, lovely dinners, completely innocently. You spend several nights collecting ingredients for the dinners, which just so happen to be the guests themselves.

Too light on the story for my taste - the puzzles were okay, the controls were a little clunky… aight for what it is. Pick it up from a bundle if you feel like some puzzlin’.

Next up: I’ve let this sit in my backlog for TOO LONG! Now it’s time to tackle—

See you soon!

rusty lake hotel is one of the reasons i decided to buy the latest humble bundle. sounds like it’s not quite what i hoped it would be but if it only took you an hour it can’t be all bad ;)

It’s interesting! I just prefer more story. I also used a walkthrough (like always) so if you’re a Pure Puzzler you’ll get more out of it solving the shits on your own, probably. Some of the puzzles I’m like ‘how tf would I have figured THAT out?’ though.

OBJECTION!

Last time I checked, this one was the first in the Rusty Lake series.

Yes, it is, but it’s twined with their other cube escape series! apparently the storylines interweave? See here. They suggest one plays this game after six (6) Cube Escape games.

Oh god, now that’s complicated… you’d think it’d be okay not to touch the other series, since… well, it’s the other series, but then something like this comes out and you’re just like aAaAaAaAaAhHhHhHhHhHh
