My epic backlog fight - Report #15
It’s been a long time since my last update. Many things have happend during this period. Some games were completed. Portal 2 was my #200 completed game on steam.
But most importantly i’ve passed my CAE test :D

Also i decieded to take part in ABC challenge :D No special rules, i can play the games in whatever order i like, i just need to get 100% in all of them :D I want to complete the list before 15th October (so before my birthday :D). It’s unlikely to happen, but i will try :D Already completed one game, which was LiS:BtS :D It’s so amazing to be able to revisit Arcadia Bay once more. Deck Nine did a really great job, though the story seemed to be rushed a bit, but that’s understandable, as there will be only 3 episodes. Overall if you enjoyed the original one, you surely will enjoy BtS too :D

I’m no good at that. I just use language on intuition :D
Worked great so far, even more so if you do fictional writing. Grammar sucks for that anyway :D
You write fanfiction?
Fanfiction not so much. More Fiction. Shortstories of my own. Maybe in a world invented by somebody else.
I also write Roleplaying (not the chat ones, but with real text) in forums. But I’ve stopped more then a year ago with that. So not too much writing atm :D
(And I write mostly in German, so nooooooooo, I probably can’t show you a thing :) )
Well like Mskotor said, it’s all about grammar and words :D It consists of 4 parts (actually i believe it’s 3 parts, as one counts as reading).
Part 1 - You have a text with some blank spots. You have 4 answers A,B,C,D and you need to choose the one that fits the best.
Part 2 - Same as before, though this time you need to come up with words, so no answers are given :D
Part 3 - You have text with blank spots, words are given, but you need to create proper form. Usually native speakers can’t do it, as they don’t see the connections between words. For them it’s just a new word XD :D
Part 4 - Typical transformations. You have a sentence and then you need to transform it with word given, so it has the same meaning.
If you want to test yourself, then i found all the parts on the internet, so you can see how it acutally looks like :D

Yeah, I’m not good with languages. I won’t get a degree for it. I’m too stupid to ever study in England.

Yea those tests are stupid, i have to admit that. Still overall you did a good job, if you add those that were mistakenly marked as wrong, then your score would be even better :D If you want a husband you can take me. Ugly as fuck, 18 (not yet still XD) years old guy from Poland, who loves gaming :D

congrats for the certificate. Never made one myself, so far I was not asked by any employer to prove my english skills.
I hope to get the new Life is Strange in the next sale or maybe in a giveaway. Enjoyed the first game, so probably no waste of time playing through the second, too.

Congratulations on your certificate! From what I heard, English is a difficult language to learn if it’s not your first. I’m proud of you!
I’d say that mastering german or any other language where nouns have “gender” is hard. At least in english you either use basic form, or add “s” to make it plural xD
Compared to my native language (polish), english is a piece of cake :D At least for me :P Also i get to use it everyday, by playing games or watching films, so even without my will, i’m learning it XD

Kudos! I think I got a 182 or something around that myself.
That’s a good score :D Now i will be preparing for CPE, which will take 2 years. Hopefully i will pass it and i will bring my english skills a level higher :D
Congratulations on the certificate. I’m pretty bad at languages myself, but am in language education!

I actually trained to be a Cambridge examiner for the FCE, CAE, and CPE levels. Never used them though, and I need to refresh the qualification befoer I can do any examining. I do a lot of IELTS testing though. It’s quite fun!
200 completed games is quite the achievement too. A man of many talents.
