Okay well that was abysmal.
Blissfully short, the Ghost of Joe Papp is an incomprehensible slapdash VN with misleadingly-nice art (the only nice thing about it). I’d say it’s so pretentious and so far up its own ass that it creates a black hole, but it feels too schizophrenic and poorly done to even have that kind of intentionality.
This game is a hot mess. Nothing makes sense, there’s no lead in or build up to anything, the characters are unbelievably unlikable and shallower than a hole an ant would dig to piss in. Even IF I didn’t accidentally check ‘skip everything’ (and of course, testament to this game’s poor workmanship, be unable to uncheck it despite two or three full uninstall/reinstalls) I probably wouldn’t have been able to sit through another couple of playthroughs - I sat through a little over half of one and then just loved myself too much to continue.
If I made a ‘VNs to Avoid Masterlist’, this for fucking sure would be on it.
Next up: Let’s try this shit again.

2/10 ? I think that’s about the worst rating I’v ever seen you give a game. Combined with the …uh … colorful images you provide … this game really has to suck. Makes me kinda curious xD
I think you’re right - beyond the VN where you watch the MC literally rape someone, this is the worst one I’ve played. Shockingly bad.
I was kind of pissed at myself for spending money on this - if you can find it on sale for like 50 cents or win it on SG, go nuts. Maybe since you’ll go into it laughing, it’ll be different!
