Third week of August progress

Another week is about to end, so another post \o/. This week I haven’t done as much as the previous ones, but some progress is better than no progress right?
This week I will manly complain about how games can not get their controls right :(

This week I have joined 2 challenges:

  • ABC challenge - 3/27 games completed (games from this challenge are going to be marked in pink)
  • Challenge me - 1/5 games completed (games from this challenge are going to be marked in blue)

Completed SG wins

  • Pills4Skills
    Pills4Skills

    9 hours playtime

    9 of 9 achievements

  • Russian SuperHero Dead Ivan
    Russian SuperHero Dead Ivan

    3 hours playtime

    17 of 17 achievements

  • Neon Prism
    Neon Prism

    3 hours playtime

  • Lilly Looking Through
    Lilly Looking Through

    3 hours playtime

    no achievements

Pills4Skills - This game took me by surprise as I had quite a bit of fun with this one and only found about 5 levels out of 72 (if I recall correctly) a bit infuriating and I get infuriated easily. The only problem that I have with it is that keys are not rebindable from what I could tell. The gravity control buttons default to “X”, “C” and “Z” which as someone who uses a QWERTZ layout is one of my biggest gaming pet peeves. And no, I wont change my keyboard layout just for one game as it would break all kinds of macros on my keyboard.
Russian SuperHero Dead Ivan - This game is confusing as hell and the magic attack sometimes bugs out for no reason. I had to use a google translated Russian guide to 100% the game. I think I said enough with that.
Neon Prism - I really liked this one. There is 50 levels and almost every single one of them is unique. Only problem is once again the controls. Do NOT play this with mouse and keyboard, the game will be a 100x easier with a controller.
Lilly Looking Through - Really adorable puzzle game. Some puzzles got me a bit confused, but over all it is a really nice game.

Other completed games

  • Yellow: The Yellow Artifact
    Yellow: The Yellow Artifact

    2 hours playtime

    no achievements

Yellow: The Yellow Artifact - Oh boy, here we go: the controls are horrible, it randomly (3/4 of the time) wont jump for some reason, the hitboxes of enemies and obstacles are waaay too big, the levels are boring and easy, there is an obvious fake blue screen in there (mind you, you can play this on OSX and Linux - well if you can download it in the first place, but lets not get into that),… Long story short, the devs of this game are incompetent.

Thanks, moving Yellow to Won't Play.

Good decision. It might be a 10 minute long game, but damn it is a waste of those 10 minutes.
