FAR: Lone Sails is done and dusted. This was an excellent game. It has characteristics of a 2-D walking simulator, but also has a color scheme similar to games like Monochroma and Inside, has lite puzzle and platforming elements, and also has a base maintenance mechanic similar to the one found in The Final Station. Also set on a mostly dead world. Really nice game. I hope they consider building off the silent lore of this game for another game in the future.

The Hex is also done and dusted…and was also an excellent game. I did think it was maybe a little slower paced than I would have liked, but that is really a minor nitpick. The game is a really cool twist on the classic whodunit, and it is pretty much all genres of gaming within this one game as well. I’m guessing there is an ending I haven’t seen, but I did elect to skip the glowing door and head back and to the right instead, and that ending made the whole game worthwhile.

FAR: Lone Sails does look cool…it’s on my wishlist.
I think you convinced me to take The Hex off my Steam ignore list, lol. When I first looked at it, it looked like a hand-drawn/pixel-graphic beat-em-up, because of the one screenshot. But there seems to be a lot more to it. Does that talking/narration sound effect persist throughout the entire game, or do you know if it can be disabled?

I’ve got no idea if you can disable it or not, but the narration is kind of essential to the game. The music can be shut off though.

I don’t want to disable the narration, just the sound effect. I’m guessing that can’t be done unless I just turn off my speakers. :)
