Snowpwn

What I actually did in June

One finger death punch, or as I refer to it, One Punch Man, was a very fun and engaging game. The mechanics may be simple at first but it gets very challenging and intense. I would highly recommend this game to anyone with a high-end mouse, as it was killer on my wrist to play with my wireless but easy as hell to play on my g502. Story mode is kind of slow and boring with many levels but all of them repeating the same 7 or so premises. Worth a play.

Alien Shooter TD

Alien Shooter TD varies a bit from run of the mill Tower Defense ( TD ) games. There is an ammo and reloading system tied to the money you get each wave from killing enemies, and there are also additional tools you can buy using the money you get after waves to either upgrade your soldiers or kill enemy units. The game gets rather challenging around halfway and I have given it up for the time being, but I will come back to finish it off eventually. The game play is rather grindy and repetitive, so unless you really like TD games I’m not sure I would recommend it.

Hands of Fate

Hands of Fate is a rather enjoyable game, I would loosely describe it as a card game based DnD. The combat system is fairly basic, but its not really the focus of the game so it gets a pass from me. The cards and draw system keeps things rather fresh and interesting as you play. Sometimes luck will completely screw you, or carry you through a dungeon. Some of the game being up to RNG kind of bothered me but its still worth playing.

12 is better than 6

12 is better than 6 is a top town shooter with a unique ink art style and weapon mechanics. You have to manually reload and prime shots with the many weapons and you can shoot through some objects. The game is very repetitive and the game play isn’t quite rewarding enough to make up for how annoying it is to do combat. I would not recommend this game.

Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of Mordor is basically a more enjoyable version of assassins creed set in Middle Earth. The cinematics are great, the story is engaging, and the heavy, serious tone of the game is lightened by well timed and well made comedic elements. The game play is very fluid and engaging, and you gain new ways of fighting enemies throughout the game so it doesn’t get old, and with the dlc and challenge mode you can keep playing for ages. It took me around 19 hours to beat the main story mode, then I forgot to close the game and went to sleep. I have yet to try the dlc but I have heard good things. The game is currently $3.99 on the steam store and I would very highly recommend it, I loved the game the whole way through.

Minion Masters

I got Minion Masters in a bundle from somewhere, no idea honestly. I gifted my friend the guest copy and we have both been enjoying it. It is basically Clash Royale for the PC, and without the bullshit card grinding mechanics of Clash. You send minions you spawn down either bridge to the enemies tower and attempt to kill them before they kill you. The game is rather well balanced and has interesting opportunities for creativity, and you can win with a number of different setups. I would recommend Minion Masters to anyone who likes games similar to Clash Royale.

Diablo 3 and Great Failure

Lastly, I played about 27 hours of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls to knock out all of the season 10 challenges and create a fear inspiring furious charge barbarian. Couldn’t link it since its not a steam game but I really enjoyed it. With necromancer coming out and season 11 starting soon, Diablo is a good game to grab. I ended up throwing a few of the games I originally planned to the wayside since I got Diablo and Shadow of Mordor recently. I will complete them in July I hope, I am such a shitty assassin.

No shitty assassins here! Let’s say we prefer to deal with our assassinations reaaaally slow. :) Meanwhile, the contracts pile on our desk keeps growing at quicker rate…
