Update 19
Late post, but that’s because last week was super packed irl for me! In between my graduation ceremony and preparing for my master’s degree (of which I had my first class today hehe), there hasn’t been much time for anything else. I did pick up Elden Ring on the Switch 2 (3rd copy I own now rip my wallet) and will probably end up playing that in between classes a bunch. Also tried some seamless coop on PC with my friend and it was hilarious, so now I have two playthroughs of Elden Ring going on simultaneously lol. Other than that, not much gaming rn, but I think I’ll get back in the groove as things start to calm down a little.
Games beaten:
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I think I liked this a lot more than the first one. Gameplay is significantly improved and I actually died once, which I never even got close to in the first game. Just felt like managing dice had higher stakes in this one. Of course, as you get further into the game, it becomes increasingly easier, because you can use skill points in such a way that you like never accumulate stress, at least with the absolutely over powered push ability of the machinist class. Story wise it was good, I don't really remember the story of the first one so can't do much comparison there. In general though, the world really engulfs you and you just don't want to stop playing. But yeah main takeaway here: holy shit the gameplay is good in this one.
New backlog additions:
Neon White (win)
that might be it, idk? How do people keep track of this??
