Alright. Cions of Vega is done and dusted. This is another walking simulator in Tonguc’s catalogue of games, and I think it may be my favorite so far. It was right at an hour in length for me, had a very clear and concise vision, and executed on that vision immaculately.
I think the clear inspiration for this game is Logan’s Run, although this is pre apocalypse and more psychological horror focused. The story, although somewhat predictable, was actually perfectly written in my estimation. There are three endings. I preferred option C, although option B made me chuckle. I guess I’m a bit of a dark soul, lol. I will say the story wrap up for one ending was dissociative.
The voice acting was really good. It’s kinda funny, because at the beginning, it seemed hokey, but it was like a warm blanket by the end. Well done.
The graphics were of course stunning. In this game, the vibe is darker and gloomy, and so the visuals match that.
Cions of Vega was Steam Deck compatible. I had no issues running it, and default controls were fine. Battery life was right at sixty minutes.
This was an enjoyable title, and as mentioned, probably my favorite of Tonguc’s games so far. For three bucks, you’re getting a well thought out and fun experience.
