Update 10
Happy Halloween! Unfortunately I haven’t had time to fully jump into many horror games this month, but at least I was able to get back into the Outlast Trials with the new update. They also brought back rebirth at some point so I was able to actually mark it as beaten now. I still plan on playing some indie horror games tomorrow/today (I’m writing this at like 2am), but I’ve also noticed that there aren’t currently many horror games I’m interested in that I haven’t played or watched already so idk. Maybe it’ll just end up being more outlast trials for me, love that game.

Not giving this one a proper star rating yet since it's not finished, but in general it seems to be headed in a very good direction. Can't wait for the full release, the little time that I spent on it so far was definitely very enjoyable. I feel like most people grabbed this just for the dbd rewards, but it is genuinely worth playing.

Really cool and unique, scratches a little bit of that Disco Elysium itch. Well written story and characters, which is quite important considering that this is all the game really is centered on. I do wish it had voice acting, and I did find myself skipping through some longer lore parts of the text, but it was fun overall. The whole experience really captivated me and I was hooked.

This one really surprised me. For the most part it managed to be pretty funny, though there are some jokes that just don't work for me (some are a little too repulsive). I think it's probably a very hit and miss type of game for most people, there's a certain audience for it, like I could see people getting very annoyed with the talking guns. In terms of the gameplay, it's actually quite solid, fun boss fights and mechanics, though the basic enemies do get a little repetitive. I don't think there are many flaws at all with the game design so yeah, great game I had tons of fun.

Good story, engaging enough, I love detective stuff in general so this just worked for me very nicely. I enjoyed the art style as well. I wasn't a fan of the intro (which seems to be a controversial take it seems?), but I understand that it is supposed to be a tutorial area and that it is significant for the story. Kinda wish they just dropped me straight into the detective work anyway tho.

So this is exactly the type of game that is wayyy more fun to watch than to actually play. Some of the puzzles are a bit too convoluted, and it's just not very fun to try and figure everything out. The second game seems to be a bit better, but you won't catch me playing that one since for some inexplicable reason I had a horrific nightmare after watching Jacksepticeye's playthrough of it back when it came out, which has put me off interacting with it haha. I'll watch his playthrough of the 3rd one when it comes out, but knowing how complicated these games are I'm not interested in playing it myself.

Currently playing:

  • Remnant II
  • Cyberpunk 2077

Pokémon Legends Z-A is also one I’m going through, maybe about halfway now and there’s a lot I want to say about this one. I think I’m coming in with a bit of a different perspective to this one than most people, since I’m not a pokemon fan. Hopefully getting a review in the next update!

Well it’s a bit less since I went for some extra endings :)
