Week of Sep 24 - Sep 30

Hey everyone! Hope last week has been great for you.

Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:

  • Bedlam: Finished it 100%. Fun game. It only takes 4 hours so I’d recommend you guys check it out.
  • Age of Steel: Recharge: Attempting at 100% completion. It’s broken, unbalanced and filled with translational errors. If you like base defense games, I’d recommend Aeon Command instead.
  • Sanctum 2: Doing all DLC maps. It goes slow but we’re making good progress so far. I’ll probably go back and attempt all again with all feats of strength enabled after I’ve done all of them.
  • Approaching Blocks: Checking this game out if it’s an easy 100%. It’s simple enough; avoid blocks while listening to the beat.
  • Damn virgins: I’ve started this game, but… WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GAME??? O_o

Last week’s game nights:

Day Game
Saturday Town of Salem / Age of Empires 2 - We played AoEII with 6 players against two hard original AIs. (This is a repetition of what I wrote last week, I write these reports with a two-days delay so things get mixed up sometimes.)
Wednesday Paladins - Played one casual match as Grohk. Got a 29 kill streak. :/
Friday Payday 2 - Did a heist where you need to modify and then steal a motorcycle I think? Friday’s game night is too late for me to attend to so I played only one game.

Here’s last week’s boosted co-op objectives.

Date Game Objective Result
Sep 24 Ultimate Chicken Horse Ultimate Brawk Neigh - Play three matches Failed: Don’t own the game.
Sep 25 Lethal League Hardcore P0ng - Play a best of five set of games with a TAP member Completed: Won 3-2. Probably the only game where I was able to bunt a ball with a speed >1000.
Sep 26 OreLight OreFight! - Play for an hour (rounded up) Failed: Don’t own the game.
Sep 27 Post Apocalyptic Mayhem Savage! Racer - Complete a race (3 laps or more) Completed: Played with a party of 5 players. I really like this game’s handling of boost, where you get less and less boost when you’re in or close to 1st place.
Sep 28 Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Bad Rats Must Die - Finish a map on hard Failed: I’m too much of a scrub to win it on hard.
Sep 29 Zombie Army Trilogy Zombie Boss - Complete an episode Failed: An episode consists of 5 chapters. We did the second and third chapters of episode I, but was too tired to go on after that.
Sep 30 Sid Meier’s Civilization® V I Declare War! - Complete a campaign (co-op versus bots or multiplayer) Failed: A good campaign would take at least 2 hours minimum, and we didn’t have enough time to spare to that.

Keep in mind that these objectives are meant to be completed by playing the games like they’re supposed to be played. We could just rush through against highest difficulty AI on Civ V or AI War, lose in 10 minutes and call it a day, but there’s no point in doing that.

The chapters in Zombie Army Trilogy takes a bit of time indeed. Which difficulty settings are you using?

Crossbourne

Marksman. We’re playing for fun so no need to increase diff. Still need to complete them on Expert though.

Yep, me and my friend have been playing NZA1 on Marksman as well. That and the default zombie spawns is enough challenge for a first run, because there’s always some surprising moments in every chapter. :)

I have already finished NZA1 and NZA2 100% on Elite with a 4-player party. I’m playing with some friends who have never played NZA before, so just moving on through the campaign at a normal pace, shooting bottles and collecting gold bars when I can.
