Well, the main campaign of The Division 2 is done and dusted. There is an end game campaign that sets up when you complete the main campaign, so I’ll probably jump into that soon. Anyway, it’s an improvement on the first Division, with definitely more emphasis on SP despite it still being MP-centric. Beyond that though, it’s really more of the same overall, so if you enjoyed the first one, you’ll probably also enjoy the second game.

So, now it’s time to get back to Dead in Vinland. I’ve put about 14 hours into it, although a lot of that was offline. I did make a particularly bad decision around day 45 or so that forced me into a corner of sorts. So, I need to go back probably a week in in-game time and start again from there so I can remedy that decision lol. Backtracking on stuff you already did isn’t the most awesome, which is coincidentally why I took a break from it and played Division 2, but I think I’m ready to dive back in. The game itself is a mix of good and bad. The premise is good and the gameplay is decent, but for a bunch of vikings, the characters sure are a whiny bunch, and I kind of hate the nightly dialogue between characters. Overall, the mix of resource management and turn based combat is pretty good, although it definitely also becomes very, very repetitive. So, I don’t know if I’ll make it to the end, but I’ll see how far I can go before I’ve officially had enough. If I was to rate it right now, I’d probably put it at right around 5.5 or 6 stars out of 10.
