What Never Was is done and dusted. It’s a short (15ish minute), free to play adventure game that visually has a bit of a The Room series appeal, and the game, isn’t so different than that series in philosophy. Excellent first taste of what I hope will become a full fledged IP. I’d like to see where it goes from here. Give it a look.

So, what am I playing right now? Probably far too many games lol.

Nioh: Complete Edition: Loving this one. I’m almost 8 hours in right now. I expect this will be the main game I play until I finish it.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom: I’m also about 8 or so hours into this one and loving it. Just bought the season pass on Humble which was at a very nice discount.

Infernium: I just ran around for a few minutes the other day checking out different mods the developer has on the workshop. I’ll dive in properly though sometime over the next few days.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time: Got my team of seven intrepid students assembled and am firmly caught in a time loop. This will be my other main game until I finish it. The combat is most similar to Dragon’s Crown IMO. I’ve never watched the show, but this game definitely has the old school hand animated vibe working, but with better detail.

ATOM RPG: It’s okay. Reports of it being the next Fallout 2 may have been a bit premature IMO. There are some frustrating game mechanics that kind of weigh this game down, most notably radiation build up (or the sudden appearance of radiation sickness after searching a random object or dead body), completely unfair random encounters that have your one or two party members (as far as I am into the game anyway) having to fight eight-ish enemies, all of whom tend to be better armed than you, and this typically happens without the benefit of cover or obstacles either. That is pretty frustrating, especially when you’re already limping back to see the doctor in the first town you encounter. The story and setting is cool though, and the graphics are decent.

Jagged Alliance: Rage!: It’s okay. Decent silly and stupid fun in the guise of a tactical grid based combat game.

Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows: It’s a pretty fun tactical turn based space sim(?)/shooter.

I’ll definitely also be firing up that Resident Evil 2 1 Shot, and will be starting (or restarting is the case here, on PC instead of PS4) Final Fantasy XV.

…and then both Metro Exodus and Far Cry New Dawn release next month. sigh

:)

Yeah, I am already considering Nioh to be a must play. I have noted a lot of people claiming it doesn’t have much in common with Dark Souls. That aint true. It’s almost a carbon copy of Dark Souls in many ways, only with combat that is a bit easier on the surface, and some of the RPG stuff, from your hub town to the overland map (which also functions as your quest journal) all happens from an open map/pause menu in between missions. There are some cool combat tweaks and such that make it its own game in the Soulsborne genre though.

Interested to hear more about your thoughts on Ni no Kuni 2 once you put a whole lot of time in.
