Nonsense report #10 - February 2021

Non SG games

2 hours, 16 of 22 achievements

Had this game on my watchlist for a while, not what I was expecting honestly, not bad, interesting story, average puzzles, collisions and platforms are a bit odd but overall is a decent game

3 hours, 13 of 30 achievements

It was a blast to play this game with some friends, reminds a bit of phasmophobia, get the objective done and escape alive, definitively a better experience playing with friends than alone, it may get a bit repetitive after a couple of matches but hopefully will be improved with the new map they're planning to add and maybe more mechanics

55 hours, 103 of 103 achievements

Grinding, idling, repetitive gameplay, lack of bosses, pointless newest updates and achievements, easy puzzles… I liked it

A "swimming" simulator that is really beautiful, from the same devs as Journey the ambient and music is really well maded, controls were kinda confusing at the beginning but after 20 mins you get used to it, pretty much recommended

2.1 hours, 1 of 14 achievements

A walking simulator, from the same devs as ABZU I basically have the same thoughts about it than the other one, except that controlls are not complicated in this game, you can take your time to relax and witness the really well maded enviorment this game offers

Last Day of June

3.1 hours, 21 of 21 achievements

I was recommended to play this game and I really liked it, I was told I will cry… I didn't… but the story is sad indeed, it's a really cute and casual game that you would like if you're into story / puzzles games

Nonsense report #8 - November/December 2020

What an interesting year, I won’t be showing overall progress as this was one of my worst years for the backlog, but my new year proposal is to make this posts bigger, sadly had to put two months in one report again for the lack of time/progress

SG games

8.4 hours, 15 of 40 achievements

Don't ask me what is this game about, didn't understand a thing (I'm serious) something something murder something something puppet master that really got into my nerves, played for PoP October-November-December event

Non SG games

Daymare: 1998

9 hours, 16 of 45 achievements

The game tries to come back to the classic games difficulty of Resident Evil / Silent Hill, which does pretty well, most puzzles are not too complicated but I had some hard times with others, the story is a mess and hard to understand and the battle system may be a little cluncky, but overall is a pretty decent game

Suzy Cube

5.4 hours, 15 of 17 achievements

A really cute, simple and mostly easy platformer, game is pretty straightforward except for some secrets, pretty good if you like the genre, if you don't you may find it a little too trivial

Nonsense report #7 - October 2020

SG games

Back in 1995

3.2 hours, 12 of 12 achievements

This game is intended to return to the classic survival horrors like the first Silent Hill and Resident Evil, sadly the game doesn't offer much of a challenge or provides puzzles at their level, story is somewhat average and most of the time you don't need to fight enemies, could be improved a lot

Go to Bed: Survive the night

0.8 hours, 5 of 11 achievements

A simple click-click-click game where you're supposed to survive the night getting rid off of the shadows, doesn't offer too much, regular time killer

Non SG games

Left in the Dark: No One on Board

2.7 hours, 13 of 13 achievements

A pretty old HOG, decent puzzles and story, okaish enough if you like the genre

The Emerald Maiden: Symphony of Dreams

4.3 hours, 13 of 13 achievements

This all remind me of bioshock in a hidden object style game, art is good, story doesn't make any sense as any other of this genre, puzzles start repeating after several games but good enough

Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink

3.2 hours, 19 of 19 achievements

Same thoughts as Emerald Maiden but with steampunk

17.4 hours, 37 of 37 achievements

This is a wonderful metroidvania with a lot of good and bad stuffs, starting with the bad, the main mechanic of the game is time stop, however is poorly implemented in a way that has no good use in most of the time, can only recall two or three places is actually useful, the same happens with time travel, you can go between present and past and this could open to a lot of interactions for actions in the past that changes the enviorment in the future, but this mechanic as well is only used in one or two places. Going with the good stuff, the escence of metroidvania (specially with Castlevania) is well implemented, backtracking and area exploration, bosses, story and music is wonderful. I believe this game could use a lot of improvements but the issues it has doesn't make it a bad game, really recommended.

Medium to Hard

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

18.4 hours, 20 of 37 achievements

No words to tell how wonderful this game is, even better than the first one in my opinion, music and graphics are masterpieces, one of the best games I've played, really hard

Super Mustache

1 hours, no achievements

A really easy and simple platformer, not big of a challenge, doesn't have a proper story, pretty short. Good to kill time if you like the genre

Probably the worst months of this year for me, barely had time and will to play, so many issues I decided to put both together

Nonsense report #6 - August/September 2020

SG games

1 hours, no achievements

Collision system for this game is kinda annoying, the game doesn't really offer too much

1.3 hours, 20 of 20 achievements

An adorable, cute and simple adventure game, good for relaxing and having a good time if you like the style of it

A plague Tale

11 hours, 35 of 35 achievements

Not recommended if you have issues with rodents, and it may sound ironically with all the gore and the plague stuff but is a beautiful game, see how infants and teenagers will react to stressful and chaotic situations

Gray Cat

0.3 hours, 7 of 7 achievements

Short, simple, easy, not bad, the idea could lead to more elaborated things

0.4 hours, 5 of 5 achievements

Lover's Smile

1 hours, 100 of 100 achievements

The idea is used a lot of times in different games, doesn't offer anything new

MO: Astray

13 hours, 19 of 26 achievements

Physics movements made this game really hard, but I really like it, the story is a bit complex, nice boss desings, music and visuals

2 hours, 7 of 13 achievements

Puzzle platform, pretty confusing, nice ambient, relaxing if you're not too confused by the environment

Nonsense report #5 - July 2020

SG games

Hope Lake

4 hours, 30 of 30 achievements

It's a regular HOG, not bad, puzzles are decent and not extremely hard, lacks of map so that's a bad point when you need to go to the other side of the place to get something and back

Little Farm

10.8 hours, no achievements

The idea is not bad, however it gets repetitive after a while and stressing when a lot of things happens at the same time, couldn't recommend completely

2 hours, 13 of 27 achievements

This games is controversial so I will not comment on this one, played for PoP July-August-September event

Resident Evil 3

The controls are weird at the start, but you get used to it quickly. It is decent enought to keep you busy, but stressing if you go for completionist, one hour searching for the last 3 golden tapes

The amount of particles trend to make my pc a bit slow, but appart from that is an interesting idea

As a HoG it is decent, but compared to newer games of this genre, it doesn't offer anything special. I don't blame it, was released much before HoG became that popular

First time posting here, let’s hope this is the first of many to come :P

This was a very enjoyable one for those who like metroidvanias if you don't mind the theme of the game of course, pretty difficult at the beginning but once you get used to the mechanics of this game it gets easier

Axiom Verge

Another good metroidvania, this one however gave me more ansiety than the previous one, while I was trying the speedrun achievement I died while using an speedrun technique which made me lost 5 pure minutes of just walking to the other side of the map and denied the "no deaths achievement" as well, I was pretty salty
