Game opinions provided on ask

October 2023

Well… I have been playing some games in October, even some spooky ones, finished some bigger titles, some mini titles and tried some boring ones that I will probably never touch again.
100 games progress - 28/100
I decided to close my thread on sg and leave it, cause I have been disapointed none of unbundled games, I gave away in last half year, have been played and decided not to waste money.

Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition

I tried poison myself by cheese to stop playing that game.

Well, I absolutely loved that game and sank into whole trilogy for whole month. Haven't expected that, cause I usually hate shooters and sci-fi games, but that game was more like alien dating simulator. It was definitely more similar to Dragon age than to Kotor (which I haven't enjoyed).
Story of these games was really well written and I even enjoyed hidden jokes like qvarian ship named Ectomy.
I definitely want to replay game again for every romance and to get every companion interaction banter.

Dead Space™ 2

That game was a lot similar to first game and I have no problem with it. Probably the worst part was where I had to stick needle into my eye at minigame, I had to replay it like ten times, cause I have been completely unable watch it and always cover my own eyes before I reached the point of impact. Developers did great job at that part, cause I could feel Isaacs fear.

Resident Evil 0

I have started that game a long time ago, but was forced to quit near start, cause it kept crashing.
I haven't faced such problem that time, so I could finally enjoy that game. I really liked style of first RE game, but at that one.. I don't know, the coop system made it sometimes unnecessairy complicated. Also story was confusing as hell. So there were corpses and leeches infected by T-virus? Sorry, I don't get it.

I really don't know why is that game divided into three parts, cause alone it feels like a demo, not a real game.

Far Cry

At least you have something to talk about with your grandparents.

Best days of that game are long gone. Linear shooter with nothing impressive. Interesting is screenshot of woman in underwear (which felt really weird in game tbh, forced 16+ tag) jumped to my most liked screenshot at first day. Crazy fanbase around FC.

Far Cry 2

And I thought first game was terrible.

That game got old even worse than first game. I had to reload my game often due to constant bugs. Npcs were often jumping 2m high or they were moving insanely fast and shaking like drug addicts. If I ignore all these bugs, game is still terrible. The most stupid is malaria mechanism, because like every two main missions you are forced do some mission about killing two or three bandit infront of some house, so people onside gives you anti malaria pills that they also need for their dying kids. Then a huge problem I had with game - it is extremely empty. If you meet zebra or antilope, it is a big day. No dangerous animal around.

Dead Space (2008)

Moving? Shooting.

I usually don't enjoy spooky games, but that one was doable. I kinda regret my english is that trash, cause I am not sure if I understanded the end of story right, cause that game contained a lot of plot twists and betrays.

Little Big Workshop

A little economics hell

At first sight I thought that is game I absolutely can't enjoy, but that changed after starting game. Game requires player to plan product and manage its assembling with minimal wasted time, which is no fun if you build your workshop wrong. What I kinda haven't liked on game were minigames as cleaning mold, fighting dwarfs or searching nemesis agent, so I was really glad when game told me I can turn it off. Also, the most realistic feature of that game - workers collapsing without coffee, game made me feel there is no amount of coffee that is enough coffee. And as a worker myself, I agree.

Its alright, Beteshda, I finished it for you.

I kinda liked the story, which was a bit suprising. But really hated repetetive quests which were marked as failed when I was trying focus on main story instead, same with main quests, you can't just be friend with everyone, but there it is forced into nonsenses as "if you helped to these ones, you will have to murder other ones". Another thing was a town crafting part, why I have to keep multiple towns alive in rpg? Companions… eh, I really wish game let me romance a dog.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Game got bugs. I mean, spiders.

I really enjoyed that game, city is really well made even for random swinging. Also great story, it is kinda rare game makes me cry.
Still got dlcs left.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III

8.1 hours, 28 of 61 achievements
You can buy same game three times.

If you played one Van Helsing game, like you played all of them. Sadly that one was probably the weakest. What is disapointing is dabbing and subtitles system, the most important part of game story, Katrina plot revealed, I completely missed, cause she kept telling her story when she was out of screen and I couldn't hear her over fighting.

Call of Juarez Gunslinger

That game confirmed I don't like shooters. Why do I like buying them?
That game has a lots of action, shooting and linear story. Haven't really aged bad.

Another game I will most likely never touch again. Using of superpowers, murdering, shooting etc. Quick game. But I may enjoy a better end, or more like not reveal to me which end is real as I really was at doubt at last sanatorium phase.

I hated walking simulators. Now I hate walking simulators and squirells.

That game require you do absolutely weird things and is completely unrealistic, even graphic is terrible. Don't tell me some people really paid 17€ for that?

Pipes!

Pipes!

That game has I pipes, T pipes, L pipes, even some X pipes. You are supposed to redirect green toxic liquid on the other side by pipes. I assume we took role of mass murderer in that game who wanted poison water or something to town upside.

TSIOQUE

2.2 hours, 27 of 31 achievements
Escaping castle, fighting fairies, befriending animals.

TSIOQUE was a bit of surprise, short but cute and funny game. Really enjoyed the ending conclusion and reimagination of story in subtitles drawnings.

Assassin's Creed® Odyssey

Help, misthios!

If that game was shorter, it would most likely be better. On the other hand I enjoyed game over that time, played even all dlc and tried a holiday quest. Friend told me when I started play: AC Odyssey is beautiful game until you have to play it. I don't get it, yeah, game visuals are nice, but gameplay or story haven't been THAT bad. Only one thing really pissed me on Odyssey - everyone has a shield, only I am forbidden to become hoplit, only I get is half spear after grandma and telescopic spears I randomly find/loot.

The Technomancer

35.2 hours, 33 of 40 achievements
Typical Spiders - you love it or you hate it.

For some reason it took me a long time to decide continue that game and have to say, I liked it. It had some problems and cheap story plot, but still I got decent rpg experience. I messed up some quests by a lot, but since that game require you choosing sides, it is invictable. You can't expect much from 10€ game.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

More music, pls?

I was really excited to play that game, literally went wet when game at menu started play Twisted sister We ain't gonna take it, but that feel fallen off so fast. Game has some epic moments when it plays you famous songs from Rick Astley or Wham at fights, but only after team haul, which was mechanics I haven't reached that often, cause I chosen to play on easy difficulty. Story wasn't that interesting, ironically, what I enjoyed the most about game were banters between guardians. In game you play as a Peter and since you are captain, you give orders to others to progress around world. So you order Rocket to hack a console, but what player doesn't expect is Rocket may refuse and will argue with you, so you have to beg him more times, which fits to his character. Also your heroes through game learn to cooperate, so you don't have to keep giving them these orders like hack this, break this, cut this all the time.
What I really haven't liked was a game lenght. It was really short, main story is like 20h and has no replaybility unless you essentially need to grab all collectibles and ugly skins.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood

8 hours, 37 of 43 achievements
One little wolf sniffed too much plants

Well, I definitely DO NOT recommend to buy that game, if you want to play it, wait for humble choice or EGS freebie. I should really thanks to EGS for exclusivity on that title, cause otherwise I would buy it full price on release. That game has literally nothing to offer except few hours of main story. Sidequests I saw three over my playing and two of them were "find collectibles". Talking of collectibles, that was something terrible I refused do as you can see them only in lupus vision, which is insane to use that often, cause I already had to use it to collect exp (which you gets by inhaling gas coming from plants or trunks).
Serious problem of game were bugs, mostly visuals when you was able go inside textures or npcs, which wasn't such problem. But then your special skills buttons stop work in the middle of fight.. and trust me, that is serious problem. Definitely not a game I will ever replay, game offers two endings, which you choose like 5 mins before end (save friend x chase main villain). Oh yeah… and you can't save at game to just check ends.

Batman: Arkham Knight

I have been stucked in that game that long that I forgot what it was about, just finished some extremely stupid bossfight with batmobile and finished all dlcs except catwoman one. Batgirl has flat ass, not recommended.

Game was really easy.. till 6th chapter where appeared elvens which can smell you everywhere and instakill me on sight. Was a rough end. Story was a bit confusing, but I really liked it and haven't been in need to start skipping it as I am usually last years when game doesn't catch me. Definitely not going for 100%.
