Aquilla

Finished in February (1-4)

I finished 4 games in the first part of the month, and honetly I don’t think I’ll finish much more, because, well, I have too much work going to school, learning new spells, flying on a broom…. :D

A small 3d platformer game with some interesting mechanics. The main character is a part of a dream, and to not vanish, he must collect energy from flowers. You can collect seeds and plant those flowers, and by that effectively make your own checkpoints, and because the whole game is one big area, you will use those flowers time and time again, and create your own paths through the levels. Beside that the gameplay was solid, but my one big issue was, that I hate, when I need to go through the same challenges multiple times, and there was some parts, like the freaking labirynth, I had to go through like 5-6 times…

More an experiment than a game, you have access to police database, in which there are interviews about particular murder case, cut into small pieces, and you need to find key words and use them to search for more clips. It was an interesting experience, but the story of the murder is so bizzarre, I lost my suspension of disbelief.

A little kinda roguelike game, in which you are a mage and you are using spells to fight. I went through one run, and finish the whole main plot, because honestly I think AI wasn’t ready for me jumping like a maniac and avoiding their attacks this way. Also after 2/3 of a game, I got bored, because the fights are quite similar. Looks like you are suppose to play it multiple times, because I unlocked a lot of new classes during my run, but for me one is enough.

Weird exploration game, in which you are searching through ruins of a city. On the first glance it looks like a platformer, but every jump and climb here is done automatically, so in essence it is a walking sim. But I was enjoying it - the astmosphere is great, the images are pretty, even if a bit buggy, and there is a tone of stuff to find. You need to have proper expectation for it, but the game is really fun.
