▪ Take two electrons.
▪ Make them fall in love with each other.
▪ Teach them how to move like a ninja.
▪ Apply blue paint on one and red on the other.
▪ Let them dance before the paint dries.
▪ Complete with deep sentences and a slightly-distorted female reading voice at will.
Congratulations! You’ve just created your own copy of Duet!

..and thanks to these two dancing-ninja-lovebirds I’ve survived the story mode, where I would have been lost without ‘em, left with the wondering of an unknown lady who maintains she’s my friend.
There are other journeys who awaits us but, first, I’d like to convince that interposing woman to show me more than just her brain ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I mean, those other two are lovers, why should we be only friends? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

On a more serious note, the game’s good, really :)
It’s hard but not that hard. Levels are not random, so you can see you’re making progress once you start memorizing :) (not like Super Hexagon and the like, to be clear)
If you want to 100% it though.. well, that’s a whole different story, as you’ll have to perfect every level from every mode, which means you’ll have to pass through each of their sections without hitting anything in one go. Good luck!

Visually speaking, it’s pretty minimal: just a moving background other than you and obstacles. Said background has different styles and cycle through them during your playtime. I disabled it though, before I got to fully understand if it was really driving me sick and/or if it was a distraction.
Soundtrack is not exactly what you may expect two lovers to dance to but it’s not bad in itself. Plus, you can grab it directly from the game’s folder, which is always good. imho, soundtracks should always be included in the game.

Oh, almost forgot:

Another sg win down

..and the third game beaten for October

EDIT: Everything may looks chaotic at first but when you get to pass through a level it’s kind of mesmerizing to see how those two “balls” avoid all those blocks, it was really fascinating to me.

I love how such simple mechanics can make a game so fun.

Also I’m on the almost impossible quest of 100%-ing Duet, good luck to me :P

Yup, sometimes “Less is better/more” is really true =P

Really?? °O° Congratz and good luck!!
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do it..

I installed Duet on my phone again after seeing kayhmkay’s previous post mention it. It’s definitely hard (got stuck in the first few sections) but I wonder if it would be a bit easier on PC and with a controller.

soundtracks should always be included in the game.

Agreed! I understand games that use licensed music are a bit complicated in that regard, but still.. would be nice if more games did this.

Can’t help you here ‘cause I don’t have a smartphone. Plus, I played it with the keyboard =P

I only understand that they want more money >:(

This is unrelated, but:
noticed you have a graph for backlog progress in your profile page; if you’re using google spreadsheets to do it, you can directly share and embed the graph so you don’t have to manually update it everytime. :)
I’m gonna add some too to my stats page, that’s why I know =P

uguleley

Oh it does, that’s a neat feature! I’ve been updating my graph only once a month, but your advice makes it much simpler to process. Thanks! :)

You’re welcome ^_^
